Hi, I just preordered Halo: ODST. How does the Sgt. Johnson unlockable work? Does the game come with a code of some kind or is he on the disc? Is Best Buy even participating in this promo (please say yes)? If not, is there any way to un-preorder it so I can preorder from a retailer who is participating?

From what I have gathered, there will be a token that you are eligible for if you pre-order Halo:  ODST that will unlock Sgt. Johnson.  It sounds really cool actually, and I am not a FPS gamer myself, however my daughter is believe it or not.

You will recieve an email around the release date of the game containing your code to the download Sgt. Johnson character.

I picked up my game today in store which i preordered online and I have not received any code at all.

I also picked up 2 pre-ordered games for my son today and did not receive any unlock code for SGT Johnson.  What gives?

I too ran into the same issue today when i picked up my pre-orderd "Halo 3: ODST".

What happened? Where in the package would i find the token? And how would i get it?

I called the store where I picked up the games a few hours ago and the guy I spoke to told me that the pre-ordered games were suppose to have an insert in the case with the code (he 'thinks').  Well, both of my games had no such insert.  This is frustrating!!
