Hello,

 I am looking to purchase the new XBOX 360 Game of the Year bundle. It was released on May 1(yesterday).  Our local best buy did not have it, but when i walked down the street to "another competitor"(forum wouldnt let me type GS) they had several of them in stock and ready to sell.  I'd prefer to buy this at best buy because of Gift Certificates, Product Warranties, Reward Zone points, etc  that GS does not provide.

So, when will these be available at Best Buy?

BB.com says that the XBOX 360 Elite Game of the Year Bundle is available for purchase online and that it is available at select stores. I know my store has an order of them inbound on the truck but that may not be the same story at other locations.

That's a pretty good deal. $399 for the Elite and 2 games.

Yea, I see the preorder online, but I don't want to ship it(i'd rather pick one up in store). 

Guess I'll wait out my BB and see if the get some in stock early next week.

I very recently purchased the same bundle but it turned out to be Old Chipset Falcon model even after checking that it belonged to September 2008 lot. It was not jasper and was running hot and making noises. So I returned it back. MS seems to be still clearing up their old stock by giving 2 free games.

In all the articles that I have read the Jaspers did not start until around Oct/Nov 08. If the label on your Xbox 360 shows Oct 08 or later then you most likely have a Jasper.

If anyone is looking for a good deal...that shack store that sells radios has a clearance on the Elite for $349

After some research on this forum and others  led me to understand, (apparently erroneously), that both the Pro & the Elite contained Jasper chips sets at this time, and I purchased a Pro this afternoon.  Sadly when I got home from my local BB I found the build date to be 2008 11 11, but the power brick amperage was 14.2.

Question 1: Do any of the Pro 's have a Jasper set?

Question 2: Do all of the Elites have a Jasper set?

I currently have a Pro from Nov 08, build date aug 08 that has a failed audio system and I'm loath to purchase another Falcon model.

Any insight would be appreciated.
