Ive never been to a midnight realease and my questions are:

1. Do they genereally get crowded? (planning on going to the Skyrim release)

2. Can we buy the game guides at the same time?

I have been to releases with 2 people and others with more then 200. For Skyrim I think around 50 for most stores. I like to show up 15 minutes before midnight myself. And yes you can buy the guide at the same time and get 15% off.

Above poster is correct. Madden had like 20, gears had 40-50, MW3 had 189 the last countt before I left.

Game guides are usually set on a table with other accessories do people can just snag them on their way to pay for the preorder. Besides that you just sit outside until about 10 til midnight when you walk in and pay for your item then at midnight they hand them out after checking your paid receipt.

Normally they have swag. Some BBY employees on other forums reported keychains, lanyards and posters.

Thank you for the info. I live in a semi poverty stricken area so I assume that there wont be many for the midnight opening of Skyrim.
