I know that's not their policy I was just initially upset about it, but they did drop the ball on this one.
After calling in to customer support it seems like this is a widespread problem with Best Buy according to the lady I spoke to about this game, she told me that on her own accord, I never asked her was this a problem. I can not fathom why Best Buy dropped the ball on all those who pre-ordered.
I kept hearing sorry for this and sorry for that all last night from the store manager to the two different people I talked to on the phone. Well.....sorry I trusted Best Buy to take care of this customer.
After this episode I will not either order online or walk into another Best Buy again. Being a loyal customer for over two decades and spending I don't know how many thousands of dollars, this was the way they treat me in return. Nope, don't think so, I've got no problem giving someone else my money until if they pull something like this.
This is the only game that I have gotten this much into more than any other game out there. Just my opinion, no other game comes even close to replicating the experience that I've had with Mass Effect. The mix of story, emotion, action and setting would be hard to replicate from another games perspective.
With that being said Jimmienoman, I truly understand what you went through with the Demon Souls CE and you have my sympathies. No..I'm not going to make another thread to this, to be honest I am done with Best Buy.
You see I have now missed out on the Argus rifle code that comes with pre-ordering it early, that was the whole point. Yeah I can still get the collectors edition from somewhere else but nobody sells it with the Argus rifle code after the fact. Unless I spend $130.00 on up through Ebay but who know if the code will be included.
So I missed the boat on that.
Thanks Best Buy, it's like a gift that keeps on giving.
