Hello,
I preordered Kid Icarus for the 3DS in January for $39.99. It came out today, and has not even arrived yet, but Best Buy is now charging only $29.99 for it:

Will I be refunded the difference? I feel like I'm being punished for preordering.
For comparison, Amazon.com is refunding $10 to all their customers who preordered:

I am a Premier Silver customer and go out of my way to support brick and mortar retailers who pay sales tax rather than Amazon. Please don't punish your best customers.
I appreciate your time and consideration.

I actually preordered online rather than in-store, and I was charged the full $40.

You should be able to just call BB and ask for a price adjustment. You probably didn't receive it because they put the hold on at the old price and didn't update it. I don't think there would be any problem getting a price adjustment.

Calling did the trick. I was credited the difference and tax immediately. I'll avoid email support in the future.
Seems inefficient to me, but whatever.

Email probably would have worked, but their turn around time is a bit too long in my opinion. For something quick like a price adjustment phone is the best. I use email when it is something I will need proof of later, or if I'm not in a rush.
