I just bought the game in store but they took they pre order box and just gave me a recipt. should i go back to get the box because the exclusive ingame car code was inside i think?

I'm pretty sure the game code is in the actual box the game comes in. The pre-order box is more than likely just a display box that has nothing in it.

I believe there were Pre-Order Boxes which folks could pickup on the shelves, and these Pre-Order boxes contained the codes for the Stealth Nissan GT-R GT500.

I also pre-ordered the Collector's Edition from Best Buy, but did NOT recieve a code for the Steath GT-R which is the reason I bought from Best Buy in the first place. There were no Pre-Order boxes in the store at the time of my purchace. I too want to know how and where we can get our codes for the Stealth GT-R GT500 since we Pre-Ordered the game.

Subscribing. I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition and don't want to miss out on the DLC car, either. I'll be upset because I cancelled my Gamestop pre-order that had DLC because they weren't getting any Collector's Editions at my store.

I pre-ordered and didn't receive any code (or pre-order box for that matter) either.

Hopefully, it IS packed in-box.

The Stealth GT-R GT500 doesn't come packed in the box, so just make sure you ask the attendants when picking up your game. More then likely they may have some extra pre-order sheets with the codes lying around. I'd assume they'd expect some folks wanting it who couldn't get their hands on an actual pre-order box... especially for those who bought the Collector's Edition.

Just talked with customer service and they said the code will be emailed within a week, they want to make sure you pickup the game first.

The CSR I spoke with when I picked up the game said that unless I got a pre-order box, I'm not getting a code.

I placed my pre-order online, thus I never had a chance to get the code from the in store pre-order boxes.  I am hoping the online pre-orders get there code via email, like it was stated.
