Re: Got charged $20 extra for something that is supposed to be free

Javier, I sent you a private message with my order information and my issue. I called the customer service line but the representative was not helpful at all. She just keep insisting it couldn't be done even though I referenced this forum post and stated that others got their refunds due to this issue.

Please assist.

Re: Got charged $20 extra for something that is supposed to be free

This can absolutely be done and there should be something done. The fact that even one of these social media guys or gals said that it was an error and should be fixed - and the fact it isn't in this day and age is a joke. I had two of them reversed. To charge $19.99 for a beta when you can get the entire game for only double that is just robbery. Don't let them tell you different. I and many others got money back and you should as well. Good luck.

Re: Got charged $20 extra for something that is supposed to be free

Thanks Jaguar. I will post once the issue is resolved. I also thought it was a bit ridiculous that it was $20. At $5 I wouldn't have bothered with all this but some games are $20 on sale and this is for a 1 day early access to a beta that is free and open the following day. Also got zero warning during purchase and cancelation of this beta key price.

Re: Got charged $20 extra for something that is supposed to be free

You're welcome. Same boat here. If you want to keep it at $5, I'm good with that and would have let it go. The fact that it wasn't disclosed is just bad business. I buy way too much there and I told the customer service rep that I was prepared to be done with them as a whole over $39.98. I don't play that garbage. Good luck to you.

Charged $20 For the Destiny 2 Beta

I canceled my pre order for Destiny 2, but was only refunded ~$30 for the game, and Best Buy kept $20 for the BETA CODE. Last time I checked, beta's were meant to be free. And I looked around about other sites/stores, and it appears Amazon, Gamestop, Walmart, etc. have not charged their customers a dime for canceling their order after they received their code. Please tell me that there is someone/something that is going to correct this, I feel cheated out of my money, and honestly this is making me consider never ordering anything from Best Buy again. If I could get an explanation as to why I haven't received my full refund, I would greatly appreciate it.
