Re: Charged for Preorder Bonus

May I ask the outcome of this? I preordered the game but plan on cancelling my preorder because I am getting the graphics card which will come with the game for free. Will I be charged for the beta code?

Re: Charged for Preorder Bonus

Yes, I am in the same boat. I cancelled my pre-order today and the $19.99 was charged to my card immediately. Two months later - you'd think they'd have fixed this. I get if it was a paid beta but to charge this for early access? Okay....hahaha. I am on the phone right now and he's refunding me for this as we speak. You'll need to call and get the same done for you.

Yes. And you will have to message Michael so they can manually correct it because apparently updating the price in their inventory system requires moving mountains to accomplish.

Re: Got charged $20 extra for something that is supposed to be free

While the phone call was easy in getting this taken care of, I don't like that Michael said the issue was resolved but this continues to happen to people. No one in the right mind would pay or should be charging $19.99 for a 5-6 day demo essentially. That's insane.

Re: Got charged $20 extra for something that is supposed to be free

I preordered Destiny 2 using my PayPal account and had to cancel it. I was swiftly refunded 44.95 automatically but I too am missing the $19.99. Can someone help me?

Call Best Buy customer service and tell them Michael, Social Media Expert on Best Buy forums said the glitch was fixed and it's not and you want the full amount back.

Re: Got charged $20 extra for something that is supposed to be free

I also pre-ordered Destiny 2, only I have not cancelled my order (nor do I plan to do so).  Still, my order appears to now cost me $72.06 instead of the initial price of $50.87 (total including taxes as I have Gamer's Club).  Will this $21.19 be removed from the final price of the unit at time of release, or am I quite literally getting charged for a FREE beta download code?

Again, I don't have a problem with this if the ~$20 will come off my intial total of ~$50, so that I'm only paying $30 when the game actually releases, but if that extra cost is getting added on to the total price I agreed to pay, then certainly that needs to be resolved.  Even WITHOUT Gamer's Club, the base game of Destiny 2 doesn't cost >$70.00.

Canceled destiny 2 preorders charged $20 for free beta

I was trying to order destiny 2 on PlayStation couldn't do it so I ordered a copy from Best Buy. I later fixed the issue with PlayStation so I canceled my order I am now being charged $20 for the free beta I ordered it twice by mistake so it is actually $40 for something I canceled.
