Heya,
Providing your opinion of how we are doing is why this forum exists. We do have guidelines however, as long as you are within those guidelines I am perfectly okay with people airing frustration.

So what is the status of getting us the the merc codes via email etc.....?

Oaktown65,
I haven't received any codes as of the time of this writing. Everyone subscribed to this thread will be the second person to know when I do get them. Vaultscout's honor.

I'm not gonna hold my breath Josh. Just know that I'll be pre-ordering Fallout 4 from Game Stop. And I'll actually have it in my hands on the release day. And that's something I'm 100% confident in. It's funny though, most companies would try to make good somehow for a screwup this bad. Best Buy is just basically saying "Josh, keep trying to appease them and hopefully they'll all lose interest and go away."
Why, honestly, would any of us have any faith that Best Buy will do anything right? With fixing this current situation, or in the future? It's an honest question, as people have stated, this isn't the first time people have had issues with this.

Another post taken down.....Hmmmmm this is getting fun. There was nothing in there about legal, just opinion. What was the grounds for taking down my last post?
NOTHING!
I will not be silenced, JOSH! Not until there is resolution to this problem.

I wanted to add my thoughts and address the comments Josh has been making on behalf of Best Buy.
1) No one reads a websites Terms of Service, Conditions, and Usage policy. In fact there was a legal case in which this was acknowledge, and the individual was not held to those terms. “Orders subject to product availability” is for if a few people have orders place over the stock availability, not hundreds as is the case. You can’t continue selling a product you know you won’t have.
2) The whole “Right to cancel with no notice”. Doing this without notice or reason, especially to a large group will destroy your business. Might be your right, but isn’t the right thing to do.
3) The Mercenary Pack was a pre-order bonus (stated by mwm). Not a Best Buy exclusive. This was stated on your site as well as several others. The coasters were added later as an additional incentive.
4) Pulling stock from shelf or other stores. Why is it not acceptable to pull stock from store shelves to full-fill pre-order commitments. Other then sales like Black Friday I don’t think it’s acceptable to deny someone the product they ordered, while making it available to others. Best Buy is a nationwide chain. They more than anyone else should have the ability to re-distribute surplus stock, to where it is needed.
5) Response from Best Buy. I understand your trying. But it is waaaay late. Everyone has already been given twelve different stories and waited at least a week to get some answers. Yes the forum is for us to speak out. But don’t expect us to accept apologize, with no real solutions.
Best Buy has lost a lot of customers and sales over this. And hopefully it hurts them enough to make them straighten out. Best Buy needs to 1) Improve their sales/preorder system 2) Improve their communication with and through their employees about problems 3) notify the community faster (like 48 hours) 4) Needs to get people who preordered their copies (especially those at the top of the list) a copy of the Collector’s Edition. If Best Buy has to beg Bethesda for them, or pay more so be it. Get it done and show your customers that you will do what it takes to fix a problem, and are taking meaningful steps to prevent them in the future.
Sorry for the long post. But it needed said.
