Just got an e-mail update from Best Buy.com and they cancelled my order.  Screw this company.  Unless we get some honest to goodness answers and a remedy for the situation, I'm done and I will be sticking with Amazon.  I'm fed up.

they have charged and uncharged mine about 4 times now... sadly, my bank doesn't keep it recorded when a charge is canclled.

the thing is, every time they do that, i lose money. sure the interest on 60 bucks is miniscule, but like everything about this, its getting old!

I can understand your frustration about the code included for the Mercenary Pack. I am currently working on replacement code requests to get some spare codes for those who preordered but didn't get one in the box.

We do not have the ability to provide Collector's Edition copies once we are sold out. As stated on the BestBuy.com Conditions of Use we do inform those using our website that all orders are subject to product availability and we do reserve the right to cancel orders based on that availability. Even pre-orders I'm sorry to say.

I wish I was able to do more for my fellow gamers here on the forum. I wasn't able to get a CE of Fallout due to keeping stock for you guys and gals. With the code however I can still help on your behalf. The code was also something that was included in our advertisement. The pre-order bonus for this game was the pack with the coasters, not the Mercenary Pack itself - that is a Best Buy® exclusive item.

Thanks everyone for your patience and I hope we can work some game magic for those that haven't received their Mercenary Pack yet!

Maybe then you shouldn't accept more pre-orders than anticipated stock then.  Or you know, stop accepting pre-orders past a certain date so that sufficient stock can be ordered.  And at the same time, how about divising some system so that the uneducated clerks at the stores don't put them out for any old joe can walk in and grab one off the shelf?  And then you know, if problems arise, TELL PEOPLE. Don't let us sit in the dark wondering whats going on while some peoples' credit cards get debited and credited repeatedly, order statuses flip back and forth for unknown reasons, and stores selling off their copies to whoever wants them while still accepting pre-orders for stock they were never going to get in the first place! Honesty is great and while it doesn't fix the problem of not getting the product one wants, its better than stewing about it and divising plans to go elsewhere. 

I know you community directors are not in direct control of stock or company policy but I think you've seen enough to pass all this complaining on and TRY to set things straight so those of us who were burned would still shop here.

A week later we finally get a response and it's a fluffed up "TOUGH CRAP" response.  How nice.  I hope you know no one here will ever do a pre-order with Best Buy again.  Why would anyone ever do this again with Best Buy after this completely ridiculous situation when we can all just go to Game Stop or order on Amazon and be guaranteed to have zero issues?  And "work some magic" like take those CE games that are on the store shelves and ship them out to all of us that made pre-orders?  Just a complete joke.  Best Buy continues to show that they have some of the worst customer service around.

Again, I understand why this is frustrating and I wish I had better news. I can assure you that the posts you've made are being seen by others here at Corporate and hopefully this can help for future gaming releases. As much as I would like to make it happen our systems wouldn't allow for us to pull product like the Collector's Edition from a store that does have stock in order to provide it to you via BestBuy.com.

While there is still a chance I can be of assistance with the codes for the game we cannot provide CE copies when your store is out of stock. Also, while I haven't been able to post in the last few days that does not mean I haven't been working on this issue. I'm sorry if we weren't able to give the experience you deserve with this title. We are still working to better ourselves with game releases. I understand why you feel the way you do but I do hope that we are able to get another chance in the future.
