So I preordered the CE PC version of Dragon Age at BestBuy online and it arrived right on time Tuesday. The codes for all the common items and the CE items werein the box but I do not have codes to get the exclusive items that Best Buy listed in the description.

So I have seen some posts on the Bioware boards that suggest Best Buy listed other vendors exclusive preorder items and that they do not really offer these. Has anyone got a code from Best Buy for either the Lucky Stone, Lion's Paw or Edge?

I ended up getting the Lucky Stone by doing the character creation thing early. Lion's Paw is the A$$$$N item and I think the Edge is the G$$$$$$P  item, so it does look a bit like Best Buy messed up.

Has anyone who preordered at Best Buy online or in a store gotten codes for any of these? It would seem weird for a giant company like that to list items that they don't have. Messing up orders or late shipments I can see but totally advertising something they don't have is really strange.

I have submitted a request to Best Buy customer service and also chatted with EA support. No reply from Best Buy yet and EA chat was not helpfull.

Can someone from Best Buy find out if these items and codes were even offered to Best Buy?

If anyone else also preordered from Best Buy please post your results.

I pre-ordered Dragon Age: Origin Collector's Edition for PC from Best Buy and I didn't get the exclusive codes which were supposed to come with the game.

I can't find the Best Buy link anymore, since the game has now been released and no longer available for pre-order.

But, these were the advertised text from Best Buy pre-release:

I didn't get any of these three exclusive in-game content codes.

Has anybody gotten them or is this some sort of misprint by Best Buy?

I know "Lucky Stone" is something you get from EA/Bioware's official website...

...and "The Lion's Paw" is advertised as an exclusive content from A****n.com.

I'm guessing "The Edge" might have been Best Buy's only exclusive content, but I didn't get any of the three...

Anybody know any detail on this?

I'm looking for any information, if you have any.

Hey noneill, I also unfortunately found myself in the same boat when I went to pickup my pre-ordered collectors edition. I stuck around and waited for almost 45 minutes while various people were checking on these items that apparently did not exist, despite what was present on the website. They eventually told me there was no actual promotion and therefore nothing to give me. I even pulled up the BB website and showed them the page that displayed the promotion at the time. At the time I pre-ordered I had researched three different potential vendors (GS, Az, and BB) all of which had special items as a pre-order bonus. Not only did the BB ones look pretty good, but BB is the convinient choice for me as it is close to where I work. It truly was disappointing to not only have to burn my entire lunch hour waiting around in the store but also having to walk away with nothing for my trouble.
