I preordered dance central 2 from best buy... but haven't received 400 MS points yet... I called bestbuy today but the only thing I get is call transfer, transfer and transfer...I am totally freaking out.

A few weeks ago I pre-ordered Dance Central 2 via the Best Buy website, specifically because there was a special offer where I was to receive 400 bonus microsoft points. When I arrived during my lunch break at the Cobb Parkway (Cumberland - Store 502) Best Buy on 10/25 to pickup the game, I was first - handed the wrong game, and second - not provided my 400 microsoft points.
I first spoke with the pickup person who was not aware of the offer and kept asking me how I was to receive the offer. At the time I did not know, I just knew it was what I expected and the reason I made the purchase as a pre-order. I explained this to her, to the manager, to the "video game" person in the store, and to the customer support person the store called. No one was able to find the special offer and I didn't expect them to because it was a pre-order deal and the game had already been made available. I was only offered to get my money back for the game after spending 45 minutes waiting for the store to figure out that no one could help me. I was and still am highly upset.
Later that night, around 9 PM, I called the customer support number on my receipt. I had to wait around 30 minutes to speak with the correct representative, however, she was able to assist me and provide me with the code to receive my microsoft points.
I found it very disheartening to be told several times by the store that they cannot find the offer and they have no idea what I'm talking about - as it suggest that I somehow made it up or I didn't know what I was talking about. I knew exactly what I was talking about and as I stated many times, that is the only reason I pre-ordered the game to begin with. I am not sure if I will continue to shop with Best Buy, but after several weeks I am still upset and so I had to share my story.

Thank you for sharing your experience with picking up your Dance Central 2 and preorder content. While I'm happy to hear you were eventually able to get your code, I am disappointed with the trouble you may have had to go through to get your content. You are absolutely right that the store should've been properly informed on what the preorder incentive was for Dance Central 2, and I would've felt the same way after hearing that no one knew what I was talking about.
I appreciate the comments about your experience and I will be forwarding them on to the appropriate parties so we can be sure you have a better experience next time you preorder with us. All associates (especially the gaming ones) should've been aware of the preorder bonus and been able to deliver the customer service you expect from us!
