I just went and picked up my CE, the box was damaged and customer service said there was nothing they could do. I just want to say thanks best buy for not doing crap as I now have $160 collectors edition thats nolonger a collectable. This will be the last I deal with this company. I should have refused it and requested a refund, no wait, I should have been offered another one instead of being told there was nothing they could do.

I had the same issue with Zelda Collectors Edition. Good luck getting anything.

Remember, if Best Buy had its way, there would be no Customer Service Department. The Customer Service Department is an illusion to fool the public into thinking the company holds itself accountable for its actions. However, when it comes to actually dealing with things, they are powerless to do anything. There are of course the simple things that they can do, which will affect 95% of the issues that arrise; small things like order cancellations, questions regarding how Best Buy can make money off of you, etc. But the big issues remain unresolved.
If Best Buy Screws you, in your case Damaged Goods of a Limited Item, they are not going to put forward the man power necessary to rectify the issue. To them, the formula: if the cost of man hours to rectify the situation costs more than the cost to return an item, it doesnt make sense to do anything. In the end, it is about making money for the share holders, not Customer Service.
If you havent noticed, the forum mods here will respond to anything that doesnt involve a "we screwed people and theres nothing we can do about it" topic. If you look at the prior negative SWTOR topics, and the other topics related to issues that arrise because Best Buy screwed people, you will notice that there is no forum moderator post to support the issue. Thats because they want the topics to die as soon as possible and keep them out of the pubic's eyes. Either Best Buy, or the Mods, lack the pride in their work to put forward the man hours to recity the situation.
I suggest you return your product and purchase from a company that has a respectable Customer Service goal such as Amazon or New Egg, where Customer Service is their goal and screwing you isnt. Their Customer Service department will bend over for you because their company allows them to.

All I want is a new top for the box. The product is fine it just lost all value in a damaged container. Really doesn't seem like to much to ask to get a new top.

Hey logon67,
I'm sorry for the delayed response. I certainly didn't miss your post and have no intention to ignore it; just doing my best to keep up with all of the volume we're seeing this holiday season.
I would be happy to take a look at your order and see if there is anything we can do regarding the condition in which you received it. I will send you a private message with more details and you can watch for that message in your forum inbox by clicking the envelope icon in the upper right hand corner of the site (need to be logged in for it to show up).
