Hope that gets some attention.
Here is my story. No facts have been changed. Nothing has been enbelished.
I ordered Guild Wars 2 DIGITAL DELUXE DOWNLOAD last night to try the Beta Weekend (testing/ playing the game).
I don't get to download the game until today which doesn't make sense. It should be all automatic.
I setup the Bestbuy App to download the content. I go to my account and click to download GW2. Nothing appears to happen, but in 30 seconds it says it downloaded 2.xx gigs. I'm very impressed until I realize I can't find it. It may have done something, but it did not download to my computer. This is making me a little nervous because it may download with the code already activated. I'm not clear on this. I try it a few more times and decide to just manually install it from the Guild Wars 2 site. The BB App may be buggy and can use some work IMO.
I go to the link provided in the manual option. I copy and paste the GW2 code and click to start. It says my code is invalid. That can't be right. I confirm code and try again. Same response. I call BB customer service and she tells me that this happening a lot. BB will send me a new code by Tuesday. Tuesday would be fine except I paid $80 to use it this weekend.
Sounds like I got screwed, but it's not just me. How does BB corporate feel about NCsoft giving them bad keys when the keys from NCsoft work just fine. This just makes me want to cancel my order and never order digital content from Bestbuy again. I can't be the only one who feels like this. Does BB really want to carry stuff from a company that screwed them over. Maybe they did it on purpose because now I feel like I need to buy directly from NCsoft instead of BB.
If I can't get a key in the next couple of hours, the only way to make it right imo is for there to be a discount or some other reparation made by NCsoft. In gw there were tons of in game stuff that cost them nothing to give to players. I don't really care what it is, but I do care that my free weekend isn't spent doing what I had planned on doing. I paid with AMEX for a reason and will dispute charges if this is not made right.

I wish I knew this when I bought my copy on the 26th.
I cant even get pc app to start on my computer. I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled this piece of junk six or more times and nothing. No desk top icon, no auto run on completion of install. When I call customer service I get oh, we will have to escalate this for you...and how long does it take...48 hours! And not regular hours...business hours.
I havent even gotten my registration code for this game and it was supossedly ready for download on the 26th! I have called customer service so many times and gotten so many different and false answers its not funny. I will consider myself lucky if I can get into the next beta...forget about this one!
What happened to the good ole days where you bought something and could then use it? I really wish that NC soft had gone with steam instead of BB...it would have been soooo much easier!
I agree with the OP....dont buy from Best Buy. It seems like they have no interest in helping their customers get what they have spent their hard earned money on.

Cancel order and get from gamestop if they haven't sent code. I may do that and let Amex deal with bb.

Well, I just got off the phone with the customer service *again*. I was told that someone is working on my case *right now* and that I should be hearing from them with my game registration code in 24hrs.
This is their last chance to give me what has been paid for. Ive dealt with this BS for long enough. If I dont get my code in that 24hrs then Im going to cancel the order and buy elsewhere. You would think a company in financial distress wouldnt spit on thier customers like this.

i also blame GW2 for giving cd keys to BB, they should think over about international players, like me i live in dubai and i found this website BB on GW2 list so i clicked it and bought GW2 and now i can't download it cause am outside of US...and before ordering it i asked the customer service to help me through filling the Billing addresss typing US billing address but he / she didn't notify me about Digital products can't be downloaded if you were outside US

I have a bit of a different senario. I bought Guild Wars 2 Deluxe Edition Digital within a Best Buy store, not online. I was told to install the PC app and enter my registration ID for the game pre-order and there is no place withing the BB PC app to do that. So I too missed the beta weekend and now there is going to be another beta opener Monday May 14 from 11 AM to 6:00 PM PDT. https://www.facebook.com/GuildWars2/posts/10150848
With that said, I'm a bit confused as to what I am supposed to do. The in store associates have no clue so maby there is an answere here. If not, I may just get my purchase refunded and go to gamestop.
