Customer Service and the Gamer

So, I ordered L.A. Noire for the XBOX 360 on 23 December.  never mind that it IS STILL NOT here, but I bought it for 21.50 with tax.

So, this week its on sale for 9.99.  That said, I called them and they said they would honor this price once I had the game in hand.

Ridiculous.  So, I have to wait before the game comes even though I have a receipt for them to give me $10?  Geesh best buy. you'd be my favorite store if you'd step up to the plate some

and actually have a customer service department!!  UGH!!!:smileymad:

Re: Customer Service and the Gamer

Hi UWF97Nole,

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your post about a price match. I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment with the way the price match change occurs. We would need the order to be complete to do the price match. I hope your game comes in a timely manner so that you can start playing one of my favorite games, and we can get you your price match. I truly appreciate your comments and thanks again for your post.

Regards,

Re: Customer Service and the Gamer

Just wanted to point out that the version of LA Noire you bought for $20 was more then likely The Complete Collection with the DLC included that was on sale as part of the gaming Deal of the Day where as the one on 1/2/12 for $10 was the basic game without the DLC included.

Re: Customer Service and the Gamer

omyard is correct.  The Complete Edition was DotD on Dec 23 at $19.99.  Unless the CSR or manager is not paying attention (or does not care), you cannot get an adjustment if a "different" version of a product is a different price.

"this week its on sale for 9.99."

This is incorrect.  The Jan 1-7 weekly ad shows that $9.99 sale price to be a one day sale on Jan 1 2012 (which has passed).  You should not receive an adjustment unless again the csr/manager ignores the item sku AND the fact that it was a one day sale which has expired.
