Can I exchange a PS3 game for a 360 one?

Today I bought Assassin's Creed 2 for my PS3, but the problem is that my PS3 makes the game look messed up, so I want the 360 version.  I know about Best Buy's policy that you can only exchange for the same title, but does that apply to the same console, or can I do the exchange?

Opened media can only be exchanged for the exact same item.
