So I got my new @Gamer today, got excited to pick up a number of games (Bulletstorm, Rage, Batman Arkham City, and Mass Effect 2)

Long story short, the only game in stock is Batman. I asked about the others and I was told they had some in used (at a higher price and not coupon eligible).

The story cannot / will not order them and do not expect more stock, did not offer a raincheck, and would not substitute anything.

Can someone from Best Buy explain how this is fair, or even makes sense?

I wish Best Buy didn't make promises they couldn't keep. Still, I don't expect much in the way of resolution based on past BBY experience.

Umm this sale has been going on for 3+ days now. You have a good game that was released 6 months ago at a $5 pricetag. An AMAZING game in ME2 that had extra interest in it since ME3 was being released for $5. Bulletstorm which is a decent game that is hilarious if you have that type of humor that was in low stock (I'll give you that one since it is a low stock item). Then Finally B:AC which is a major player for GOTY titles that has only been out for 6 months for $10. Everyone of those games is 60%+ cheaper than ANYWHERE else.

Not to mention that all these games had (note the past tense) trade in values that doubled or sometimes tripled what you could buy them for. I don't expect why you were not thinking these wouldn't fly off the shelves. Your local store will most likely restock BAC and Rage before the sale ends. Possible for a restock of ME2 because of ME3 release. But Bulletstorm
Probably won't be restocked.

Maybe because they advertised them and the deals run through APRIL.

Besides, what store advertises a sale for a month and sells out in 3 days (if they ever had stock) and DOESN'T DO ANYTHING to rectify the issue.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Best Buy laid out a promotion they had no intention of honoring.

There were a lot of great titles promoted in this month's @Gamer magazine, as you had indicated.  Each game was varied in its availability.  The newer ones have generally been easier to find than the older ones.  With Mass Effect 3 coming out last week and being a 2 yr old game to begin with, Mass Effect 2 was particularly constrained.  I show that was the only game of your list that you were not able to locate.  

Regrettably that title does not appear it will be returning to inventory except as an used game.  I am sorry you were not able to locate a copy.  I will make sure your feedback regarding offers with limited quantities gets to the appropriate business team for internal review.  We always appreciate first-hand feedback from our customers.

Asked at my local bestbuy and they should get more before the end of the month, if they don't then their will be no more
