Price Match and Gamers club

I purchased Gamers Club a while ago and have never had this problem, Target was selling Yoshi's Wolly World for 29.99. i showed the rep and my gamers club knocked 8 bucks off and price match 2. Making it 29.99. Now they should price match first and then my gamers club should take 20% off because if they were selling it for the lowest price thats how it would work making it 23.99. The checker refused to do that and said 29.99 was it. That is wrong. I payed for a membership and they were not selling the game with a price match gaurentee for the lowest price. I was charged 29.99 instead of 23.99 effectively giving me nothing for my paid membership.

Re: Price Match and Gamers club

Hi Kezmer,

Thank you for writing in, and thank you too for being a Gamers Club Unlocked (GCU) member. I'm glad to hear you still buy your games from Best Buy. I am sorry for any disappointment your current experience may have caused, but I'll be happy to speak with you about it.

As a GCU member, your discounted price is taken into account prior to the price match request. In this instance, that would mean that Yoshi's Woolly World at $39.99 would cost $32.00 for you. To be eligible for a price match, the qualifying competitor would need a price lower than what you paid. A Target price of $29.99 would indeed be lower, but the difference would be $2.00 plus tax. The GCU price does not further discount a competitor's price.

I hope this clears things up, but you may wish to review our Price Match Guarantee FAQ for additional information. Thank you for visiting our forum this weekend.

Sincerely,

Mike|Senior Social Media Specialist | Best Buy® Corporate
