I just realized when searching to renew my GCU membership that the program has been discontinued, huge bummer. I had a quick question for anyone who might be able to help me out. I have a couple games pre-ordered with Best Buy that are slated to release after my GCU membership expires. Will I still receive the GCU pricing on them? I am assuming that I will since the order has already been placed and the price is reflective in the order that I placed but wanted to be 100% sure.

Welcome to the forums and thanks for posting. We never like hearing that our customers are disappointed, but thank you for taking the time to share your feelings with us. That said, you ask an excellent question, which I’ll be happy to answer.
If everything goes smoothly, there’s a good chance of your discount being retained even after expiration of your membership. However, if there are any failed authorizations, updates to billing information, or other changes made to your orders after your GCU expires, it’s possible they could re-authorize and drop the discount.
My recommendation is to ensure your billing information is all still correct (in case you’ve moved) and that the form of payment used won’t expire before release. If everything is correct, you should be ok going forward. Feel free to post again if you have any other questions.
