Gamers Club Unlocked is not working online

I renewed my Gamers Club Unlocked in October in-store, and ever since then it no longer works online.  I called Best Buy's main number and was basically told to go in-store to use it, which is unacceptable as I do most of my shopping online.  I talked to a rep via the chat option, and they gave me reference ID {removed per forum guidelines}, but I'm not sure how to check updates.  I basically need my GCU linked to my online account, please help!

Welcome back to our forums and thank you for choosing to be a part of our Gamers Club Unlocked team! I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues utilizing your membership online. I'm a huge advocate for online shopping so I can certainly understand the frustration.

 

After reviewing your account I show that your membership is currently reflecting as active. I went ahead and created a few mock orders to verify that your discount is indeed being applied on our registers and online. Please make sure to sign out/in of your account to allow the changes to take effect. If you continue to experience complications utilizing your membership please don’t hesitate to bring it to my attention and I’d be more than happy to address this further!

Hey Javier,

I just tested and it is *NOT* working.  I placed an order about an hour and a half ago, and the discount was not applied, I had to ask a rep via chat to apply the discount after the fact.  I also just tried putting a game in my cart, and it prompts me to purchase Gamers Club Unlocked to receive a discount. I currently have a game in my cart right now and it is showing full price.  The discount is not working, please advise.

Just to add to this, I signed out and back in, and even tried from a different browser, still no luck.

That certainly seems bizarre. This may seem to be something that needs to be escalated to my support team for further review. In order to make sure I provide them all of the necessary information to address this please send me a private message with:

 

-Your email address that is being used for your My Best Buy account

-The My Best Buy account number you’re logged into while making your purchases

-The browser you’re using

 

With that I should have enough to pass along. I’m sorry this is a continued issue and will make sure this reaches the appropriate team. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hey hoogafanter,

The only way I was able to resolve this problem was through this forum, I didn't really get very far calling Best Buy support line. Javier was able to escalate it to the right people and get my problem resolved (finally)  Smiley Happy

That's awful. Hopefully Javier can help. I'm trying to preorder a special edition of a game here so time is integral! Javier please help!
