Gamers Club Unlocked email w/ coupons sent, discount not activating online

Hello!

I have tried to log in and attempt to buy items since I purchased my Gamers Club Unlocked membership on 2/23/2017, but the discount does not display. In fact I have had multiple prompts asking if I want to buy the membership. Could someone help with this? Order #{removed per forum guidelines}

Welcome to our forums and thanks for reaching out to us on this. It’s concerning to hear you’re having trouble taking advantage of your GCU discount online, which I’ll be happy to look into for you.  

 

Using the information you provided I was able to pull up and review your account and GCU purchase. While I do see your GCU Membership activated on your My Best Buy Account, it did not appear to have synced with your BestBuy.com account like it should have. To resolve this I relinked your accounts and updated some missing information on your MyBestBuy account, which was likely preventing your accounts from syncing.

 

After relinking and updating your info GCU is now showing on your BestBuy.com account like it should, however it may take up to 24 hours for things to sync on the backend before your discount applies automatically. If you’re still not seeing your discount by Thursday please let me know so I can look into this further for you.

For a company the size of Best Buy a 24 hours is acceptable, impressive acutally. For the volume of tickets/inquiries/complaints they likely receive vs. staffing, the industry average leans towards 48 hours, often more. 

 

It was also taken care of immediately after I submitted this post, 24 hours ago. The response was delayed, not a big concern. 

 

I feel pleased with the customer service I received, which why I thanked them. I can understand that may vary or perhaps you have not had the same experience. 

 

Having worked in the customer service industry and being a decent human being has allowed me to thank people when I think I have been treated fairly. 

 

Now I will proceed to conitnue my shopping with my Gamers Club Unlocked Discount. Good day.
