Gamers Club Unlocked 2 Year Membership Run Around

I've been on 1888 Best Buy for almost 40 minutes having been reedirected 7 times to ill effect and no immediate fix or a guarantee of a solution.

 

 

I purchased a 2 Year Gamer's Club Unlocked membership back in May but noticed I have never seen the discount or any confirmation email for the membership.   I hear from one tech support that it's because my account is not tied to the membership but then I have to wait 4 days for them to fix it or an activation confirmation? Thats not a guartantee for a solution and it's preventing me from being able to purchase anything with the membership benefits.

 

If any of them just read my account and listened to my issue:

  • Gamer Club Unlocked is  listed as "In progress" on my order status
  • Never received an activation email for the 2 Year Gamer's Club Unlocked or coupon in the Mail
  • Never recieved any discount or promotion online or in store when attempting a purchase

I simply wanted to clear this up and make a purchase but have wasted over an hour with no proof of my situation being fixed.

Welcome to our forums and thanks for choosing to become a GCU Member. It’s quite concerning to hear that since May your GCU Membership hasn’t activated, and I apologize that our phone support team wasn’t able to get you the assistance you needed in a timely manner. That said I will be happy to charge of this issue and get you a resolution.

 

Using the information you registered with our forums I was able to locate your GCU order, in addition to the logs from your call last night. I’ll be sending you a private message with some additional information shortly, which you can view by selecting the orange envelope on the top right-hand corner of the page.

Thank you the update.  I was able to log on and see that the GCU discount now works and I am finally able to apply it toward purchases.

 

Will I still be receiving the new member coupon as well as the have the bonus points applied and discounts for my previous purchases?

Yes, you should see a new set of coupons arrive soon. Unfortunately retroactively applying the discount to your previous purchases is not something we’re able to do, but going forward it should be applied automatically to all qualifying orders.
