Gamer's Club Unlocked Question Concerning Orders

Good afternoon!


So, from June 14th to June 16th, I placed a couple of orders for amiibo and the newly announced Metroid game. While adding many of the amiibo to my cart, a popup displayed and it was advertised that my order would be discounted if I threw in a Gamer's Club membership, so I did. 


However, the discount did not apply to the orders I placed that day, nor the order for the Metroid game I placed on the 16th of June. I was just curious as to why that was the case?

Welcome to our forums and thanks for becoming a GCU Member! It sounds like there’s some confusion regarding the GCU Membership’s activation process, which I’ll be happy to clarify for you.


Unfortunately GCU Activation is not instantaneous, and we normally expect them to complete within 1-2 business days of purchase, which is why you didn’t see your discount apply to the follow up orders. Regrettably we cannot retroactively apply the GCU discount to orders placed before activation was complete, so to take advantage of your discount we normally recommend canceling and replacing your order after your Membership is active.  


If some of the items you orders are now sold out this obviously isn’t an option, and in these cases we recommend heading into your local store once the items are received to have a return/rebuy processed, which should apply the discount and return the difference to you.
