$5 welcome coupon not received

I have joined gamers club unlocked recently. I got coupns today. I didn't get $5 coupons at all. Only buy 2 get 1 free on pre-owned which I can't find them for nintendo switch. I don't see possibility of utilizing these coupons considering the 30 day expiry. Is there anyway to receive $5 coupon that I missed?

Thanks for the information. Is it possible to give more expiry time for buy 2 get 1 coupons? These coupons are not useful unless we find stock. Especially for Nintendo switch.

Unfortunately we don’t have a way to extend the expiration dates on the welcome coupons. I’ll certainly make sure to forward that concern especially with the limited stock of pre-owned games.

For what it's worth I got a $5 coupon that a few days later started displaying as a buy 2 get 1 free coupon instead. I was first told it expired and then told it was removed (despite having already shown up once).

However I went into the store today to buy a game and unprompted the cashier told me the system said I have $5 exclusive coupon and asked if I wanted it applied. It worked. Now when I look in my redeemed offers it shows that I redeemed a buy 2 get 1 free used game coupon.

If you have a store nearby just give it a try and see what happens. You could also try applying both Buy 2 get 1 free coupons online and see if either will apply.

I'm sure the moderators here are doing the best they can, but I don't think they have any more idea what's going on with the coupons than we do. I joined back in August but I think the $5 coupon may still be there it's just displaying wrong on the website/app.

It's showing on my online account as B2G1 pre-owned coupon but I can apply it to any video game. The problem is, when you apply the coupon, the system will take out the 20% discount GCU members are entitled to (at least for me). So essentially it's only benefitial if the vide game is $25 or lower, which doesn't give us a lot of choices.

The coupon was originally $5 off any game more than $39.99. So you need the game to be more than that.

I went to a store and bought a new game for $60. When they scanned my Best Buy member ID it discounted 20% to $48. The cashier then said I had a $5 off any game over $39.99 and asked if I wanted to apply. The total before tax was $43. In my account it now says I redeemed a buy 2 get 1 free on preowned games even though I only bought one new game.

I believe what happened is someone changed how the coupon displays on the website (either intentionally or accidentally), but didn't change the actual discount associated with it. You probably have two Buy 2 get 1 free coupons in your offers. One of them is probably l a $5 off any game more than $39.99 in reality. The other is probably still a buy 2 get 1 free. If you are trying it online I'm not sure how you would know which is which, but you could try both. In the store I think it will just show up on the register.

This may not work for everyone as I had a $5 off coupon in my offers when I joined and the offer started displaying differently a few days later somehow.

Thanks @jacobhyman. I too tried like @tomsun1990 and had same issue. I will go to store and try the option you suggested. I hope this works. I will update the thread with details. But, you found out a great workaround and hope many folks will get benefited who thought they lost $5 off coupon. Kudos to you.
