What do I have to do to get my account to work?

Last year I was unable to generate certificates for about 3 months before my account was "fixed".  Currently I have been unable to generate certificates or had trouble generating certifiates for over 2 months.  I have a case # {removed per forum guidelines} and I receive no updates on the case, as promised.  I am beyond frustrated having so many points and being unable to use them.  I've tried calling, I've tried talking with my business account rep and nobody seems to be able to resolve this issue.  Who do I need to call and bug so that this "third party" service actually fixes my account in a timely manner?  I would think someone that does $1 mil per year with you guys would actually be able to get some assistance....

Welcome to the forum and thank you for reaching out to us regarding your troubles with your My Best Buy membership! Generating certificates should be a simple and quick process, so I'm incredibly discouraged to hear you've had such troubles for such a long time. 

When reviewing the case ID you shared though, regrettably it seems that the membership may be under another person. Per our Privacy Policy, unfortunately we wouldn't be able to discuss the details of a membership not in your name with you. I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you and if you weren't advised of this sooner. 

If you wish to have the person named on the account reach out to us, I would be delighted to look further into this with them.

This is in fact my account, my mom used the account once and they told her to switch the name and I just haven't bothered switching it back because it isn't really an issue.  You can match up the last names, email address and maybe check who called in the ticket, etc. if you tried, but you guys seem to just always want to pass the buck anyway.

Please know that under our My Best Buy program terms, these memberships are intended to be for individual use. Using these memberships individually helps prevent such issues as the account being under your mother's name.
