Rewards points pending for over 30 days

A question I'm sure you get all the time:

I made a purchase at Bestbuy.com on Dec 29, 2016 which was delivered January 4, 2017. I signed up for the Best Buy Visa at the time to earn 10% rewards on this first purchase. Several weeks ago, the majority of the points posted to my account, but I still have a lot of points pending on Feburary 7, 2017, 41 days after my purchase. I'm waiting for those points to post before I make another purchase.

When should these points post?

Re: Rewards points pending for over 30 days

45 days from the date of delivery....because your elite plus and have a 45 day return policy....they don't want you getting the points...spending them and then returning the items that got you the points so they make sure your outside the return policy before giving points

Re: Rewards points pending for over 30 days

Hello mustang00guy -

Please know that the timeframe for points to post is not extended like the return policy for Elite and Elite Plus customers. Points should still post within 15-20 days from the date of purchase, and within 35 days for Magnolia or Pacific Sales purchases.

If you are awarded points, issued a certificate, and redeem it, then return an item, the points will still be deducted from your account. If you do not have enough points, you may find yourself with a negative point balance after the points are deducted for the return.
