My Elite Status Reverted Despite Hitting Goals

Hello. I don't believe I bought enough last year to continue Elite Plus, but I know I had enough for Elite. I merged accounts and didn't check afterwards. Could someone please look into this for me? I think the merge may have affected it.

Welcome back to the forum and thank you for reaching out regarding your My Best Buy tier expiration! As you seem to be aware, tier statuses expire every February for those that haven't met the spending requirements. Having your tier status converted to our core level when you believe you spent enough in 2017 to reach Elite status would be quite frustrating, and I apologize for any confusion this may have caused. 


With that said, your spending total should be combined when we merge memberships. Please keep in mind that the portions of purchases paid for by gift card or reward certificate would not receive points or count towards your tier spending. Given this information, I would encourage you to review your purchases from 2017. If you still believe you may have qualified, please feel welcome to reach out to me!
