Rewards Overview

During 2016 I have spent 2220.64, checking the purchases I made online. When I look at the Rewards Overiew, it states I have only spent $1094. I also checked the purchases I have made and see no reward points added to it. Could someone please help me on this? I've been a Elite Plus member for several years and I would hate for this to affect me for next year. Thanks

Elite spending requirement missing some purchases.

Hi there,

I noticed health bar for keeping elite staus has been reinstated, but I noticed it is missing some of my big purchases. For example, I have purchased a Macbook which should have qualified for the Elite status just by itself, but it is only telling me that I've spend $599 this year. Can anyone help?

Please let me know if you need any personal info from me to look in to my account.

Thanks,

Re: Elite spending requirement missing some purchases.

Hi dlpowered89,

The purchase of an Apple MacBook could definitely help you requalify for Elite status except that you paid for the entire purchase with gift cards.  Any portion of a purchase that is paid for with a gift card or certificate does not count when it comes to qualifying for Elite or Elite Plus status.  Please take a moment to read over my recent responses on page 6 of this ongoing thread.  If you still feel that you have requalified for Elite status by spending $1,500 and it has been more than 20 days then feel free to send me a private message by clicking on the blue button in my signature.  Otherwise, you have until the end of the day on 12/31 to requalify.

Re: Elite Plus Status

Hi briansk12,

Welcome to the Best Buy forum!

Please read over my responses in this ongoing thread, including my recent responses on page 6.

*  It can take 20 to 35 days for an eligible purchase to reflect within your spending total.

*  Any portion of a purchase made with a gift card or certificate will not be included, as well as sales tax.

*  A purchase is not likely reflected in your spending total if points for the purchase are still pending.

*  While your bar is likely to reset to $0 on 1/1, an eligible purchase made during the 2016 calendar year should count.

*  I have NO way of manually adjusting a member's spending bar.

*  If you believe that you have qualified for Elite or Elite Plus status and your account has not been upgraded after 20 days, then send me a private message and I will review your account.  I can manually upgrade your status if I can confirm you have spent the required amounts.

Thank you for being a My Best Buy™ member.

Purchase not showing in Annual Spent but it is there in purchase history

[ Edited ]

hi,

On August 31st 2016, I made a purchase of $1,029.75 from best buy store using my Amex Credit card. But it is not showing in my annual spent. Whom should I contact to look into the issue ?

I don't want to lose my elite status next year.

Thanks,

Re: Purchase not showing in Annual Spent but it is there in purchase history

Hello vinodkummar_Kp,

I am going to ask that you please read over my recent responses in this thread because the spending bar is likely to be temporarily taken down again within the next few days.  There just isn't much more that I can say on the matter.  I have absolutely NO way of manually adjusting a member's spending total.  If a purchase is eligible and is properly attached to an account, then it should reflect within about 20 to 35 days.  I am going to ask that you send me a private message if you feel that you have requalified for Elite status before the start of the 2017 calendar year and I will see what I can do to help.  A private message can be sent by first logging into the forum and then clicking on the blue button in my signature.

Happy New Year!

How often is the amount updated for Elite and Elite Plus?

So after making some purchases online, my total amount spent didn't update right away? Does this take some time to update?

If it does take time to update, if I am $50 off, and I make a purchse for $50 on the last day of the year, will this still count towards my elite plus for 2016? Or does it not count until it is proccessed (so for 2017)?

Hopefully this makes sense.

Re: How often is the amount updated for Elite and Elite Plus?

Greetings kraker14, and welcome to the Best Buy forum,

As you may notice from this ongoing thread, questions about the My Best Buy spending bar are pretty common as we approach the end of the calendar year.  Please take a moment to read over some of my recent responses.  Any eligible Best Buy purchase made between 1/1/2016 - 12/31/2016 should count towards qualifying for Elite and Elite Plus status.  You would have up until 11:59 PM central time on 12/31/2016 to qualify.  Since points are not awarded for up to 20 days, an eligible purchase is not likely to be reflected right away.  It can generally take up to 20 days after spending the required amounts (Elite - $1,500 & Elite Plus - $3,500) for a member's status to be upgraded.

Happy New Year!
