Welcome to the Best Buy forum!

 

The information Towhidur has provided is somewhat correct.  The spending bar has been temporarily taken down from BestBuy.com but not for maintenance purposes.  It was taken down in the past for maintenance around the end of December when we reset totals to $0 and started to downgrade members that did not requalify for Elite or Elite Plus status.  With the transition to a new system in May, that should not be necessary going forward.  Our program team decided to take the spending bar down about two weeks ago while they try to fix a reported issue.  It should be back up shortly.  If you would like to check your spending bar then please send me a private message with the information previously requested, by clicking on the blue button in my signature, and I will see what I can do to help.

where can I see my total spent?

I could have sworn this used to show up as a 'meter' graphic on my account page - but I don't see it anywhere. How can I find my total spent that is being applied to my account?

The answer to your question was in the now 6 page thread at the top of the Elite and Elite Plus Membership section of the forum.  Please take a moment to read over some of my more recent responses and send me a private message with your information, by clicking on the blue button in my signature, if you would like to know your current total.  Otherwise, you can wait a few more days for your spending bar to be put back up on BestBuy.com.

Elite meter missing?

Just wondering where the elite meter went. I'm really close to hitting it and would like to know how much more i need to spend to push me over the edge

Please help, I am sorry that I can't find this on my own

I would like to make sure I do not lose my Elite Plus benefits.

 

I know I have to spend a specific amount to recieve benefits this next calander year.

 

Previously I could find how much additionally needed to be spent, however, I can't

find it anymore.

 

Where can I find the amount of money I need to spend to get the Elite Plus Benefits again?

 

Thank you for helping me, My appologies that I can't find this but I have been searching

for a signifigant amount of time and am aware it's probably easy to find but I can't locate it.

You cannot find the Elite/Elite Plus spending bar right now because it was taken down a couple weeks ago while our program team addressed a reported issue.  It should be back up on BestBuy.com shortly.  Please take a moment to read over some of my recent responses in this ongoing thread for additional details.  If you would like to check your spending total in the meantime then feel free to send me a private message with the information I have previously requested and I will see what I can do to help.  To send a private message, you would first want to login to the forum and then click on the blue button in my signature.

Hello everyone,

 

I have received word from our program team that the spending bar should be back up on BestBuy.com sometime today.  For those that have sent me private messages, I still plan on replying as soon as I have the opportunity to do so.  If anyone still wants to double check their spending total for the 2016 calendar year then feel free to send me a private message with the information I have previously requested by clicking on the blue button in my signature.

 

And now for the not so positive news, the spending bar will be taken down again in a couple weeks.  That is when we start to reset spending bars for the new calendar year and downgrade accounts for members that did not requalify for Elite/Elite Plus status.  This is the same process we have utilized for the past few years.  The new third party helping us manage the program is not familiar with our year-end process, so we are going to be better safe than sorry.  I will continue to post updates in this thread as they are provided to me.

I wanted to post a few additional details as I am still getting private messages even though the spending bar is back up.  Please keep these in mind when looking over your purchase history:

 

*  It can take 20 to 35 days for an eligible purchase to reflect within your spending total.

*  Any portion of a purchase made with a gift card or certificate will not be included, as well as sales tax.

*  A purchase is not likely reflected in your spending total if points for the purchase are still pending.

*  While your bar is likely to reset to $0 on 1/1, an eligible purchase made during the 2016 calendar year should count.

*  I have NO way of manually adjusting a member's spending bar.

*  If you believe that you have qualified for Elite or Elite Plus status and your account has not been upgraded after 20 days, then send me a private message and I will review your account.  I can manually upgrade your status if I can confirm you have spent the required amounts.

 

In the meantime, it is just a matter of waiting for an eligible purchase to reflect within your spending total.  A private message can be sent by first logging into your account and then clicking on the blue button found in my signature.  There are still about 23 purchase days left in the 2016 calendar year, so plenty of time to still qualify for Elite and Elite Plus status.
