How to find out when my Elite membership ends?

Re: Spending Tracker....is ie officially gone?

Same problem.

I've hit Elite or Elite Plus for the last several years. Can't tell if I'm even hitting Elite, or maybe I'm just shy of Elite Plus, or heck, maybe I qualify for Elite Ultra.

Why is this information missing? And how do I find out my current annual spend and qualification?

Re: Spending Tracker....is ie officially gone?

They removed it last year as well. I believe they said they did it last year to reduce strain on the sight. In reality, they probably remove it so customers spend blindly to reach the higher status if they were close.

Re: Best Buy elite plus status

Hello,

I would like to know how I can check to see if I have spent the $3500 to retain Elite Plus status for another full year? I know previously you were able to check this just by visiting the My Best Buy rewards web page and right there on the overview page it showed how much you have spent and how much more you need to spend.  However, now I do not see this anywhere and do not know where to find it anymore. Does that mean I have spent the $3500 already and do not need to spend more to retain the benefits for another year?

Thank you,

Ken

Re: Spending Tracker....is ie officially gone?

I made a thread on this, too. I do remember last year as well them saying to relieve some of the stress from the site for holiday sales. Pretty crappy tbh when some of us (me being one of them) are so close to Elite Plus and need to check if we met the required spending.

Re: Spend $3500, get Elite Plus question

Good morning everyone!

As in years past, the Elite/Elite Plus spending bar has been temporarily taken down.  We decided to take it down this year for different reasons though.  It had more to do with the issue that was reported a few weeks ago that you can read about in this thread.  I still expect the spending bar to be back up within the first week of December.  Until then, please feel free to send me a private message with the below information (as many have already done) if you would like to check your current total and I will see what I can do to further assist.  Just click on the blue button in my signature.

Thank you for reaching out to us and for being My Best Buy members. Smiley Happy

I don't see the AMOUNT SPENT?

This happened in 2015 as well, the "Amount Spent" area disappeared and I had to contanct BB customer service to get notified that I will retain my elite plus status (still have my emails saved). For the entire year of 2016, I was able to see my amount spent to track how much more I needed to spend to retain my elite plus status, so why again has it suddently disappeared in late November? Does BB do this on purpose (at the end of the year) so the customer's lose out on how much more they need to spend (prior to the year ending) to retain their elite/elite plus status? I can understand a glitch the first year, but to happen right around the same time for a second year in a row? Sounds a little fishy!

Any help?

Regards,

Re: Any way to check Elite status?

I just created a thread regarding the amount spent bar magically disappearing...this happened last year and now again this year. BB is purposely doing this so members do not pay attention and lose out on their elite/elite plus status. Why the huge inconvenience on your customer's?

On a another thread, BB member wrote "We do tend to remove the spending bar from BestBuy.com towards the end of each calendar year as we prepare for year-end maintenance;" How does that make any sense in the world to the people who are trying to maintain their status? It sounds fishy...'"year-end maintenance"? Really?

Re: I don't see the AMOUNT SPENT?

Hello Towhidur,

Welcome to the Best Buy forum!

I am going to suggest to you what I have suggested to other members and that is to read over my prior responses in this ongoing thread.  In prior years, the spending bar was temporarily taken down during the busy Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping days in an attempt to allow the website to run as smooth as possible.  It was also taken down at the end of each calendar year while our program team performed year-end maintenance.

We transitioned to a brand new My Best Buy system back in May that should hopefully prevent us from having to do that each year.  The spending bar was recently taken down while a reported issue with spending totals is fixed.  As of now, I expect the spending bar to be back up on BestBuy.com within the first week of December.  The only thing "fishy" would be the salmon I had for dinner last night.  I have been offering to confirm the spending total for any member that sends me a private message.

If you would like to check your spending total then please send me a private message with the information I have previously requested and I will review your account.  To send a private message, you will first want to login to the forum and then click on the blue button found in my signature.  I have received quite a few private messages over the past few days and will be working extra hours to reply to each one, so your patience is sincerely appreciated.

I hope that you have a fabulous day, and thank you for being a My Best Buy member.

Re: Elite Status Tracker

Derek,

I tried to respond to a thread regarding this matter, but it was closed, so replying to this one.

"The spending bar that tracks how close a member is to qualifying for Elite and Elite Plus status is still very much a thing; however, it was removed earlier today in preparation for the end of the 2015 calendar year.  I can assure you the removal is only temporary as we start to perform some year-end maintenance.  You can expect the spending bar to be back up online around the middle of January."

Isn't that a huge inconvenience to you and the other agents to individually check the status of the customers? Are you guys told to instruct give us the "year-end maintenance" every year this is going to happen? It happened last year and now again this year...I didn't see my "total spent" at the end of last year (late Nov./eaerly Dec. of 2015) until some time either January or February.

Is this the new thing now for every year? If so, can I get a date when the "year-end maintenance" will be conducted so I can monitor the last spent amount until the end of the year so I know how much I need to spend to retain my status for the following year?

This doesn't make any sense to remove the "total spent" bar year after year for maintenance without any notification for individual's who monitor their spent amount on the website and have to inconvenience themselves into creating an account on your forum (rather than sending an email as I did last year regarding this same matter) and then waiting for an answer basically...

This is just frustrating as a loyal customer to BB.
