Re: YTD Spending is Incorrect

I too have noticed this incorrect amount on my account as well. I know for a fact that I have reached my $3,500 goal for Elite Plus.

Re: Amount Spent decreased

It has been a few days, and my account still does not reflect the correct amount.  I was wondering if there is any sort of status update regarding the issue?

Re: YTD Spending is Incorrect

Hello IrishWhammy and poppinfresh89,

Please take a moment to read over my prior responses in this thread.  An issue was reported last week regarding the total amount spent currently being displayed in the Elite/Elite Plus spending bar on BestBuy.com.  Our program team is aware of the issue and is currently working to find a fix.  While the total online might be displayed incorrectly, the totals on our side are accurate.  I looked over both of your accounts and confirmed the spending totals are just fine.  This issue should not prevent accounts from being automatically upgraded to Elite and Elite Plus status.  As I mentioned previously RandomDude, I will post additional updates in this thread once they have been provided to me.

Thank you for connecting with us on the forum and for being My Best Buy™ members!

"You've spent [negative dollars]" in rewards overview

I was looking at my rewards today, and in my account my current purchases counting towards Elite Plus as $-2,473.

Considering I purchased roughly $6,000 in appliances for my home this passed spring/summer, not to mention my usual spending on movies, games, etc, during the year.

I need someone to please figure out what in the world is going on with this and get this fixed so as not to cause issues with next year.

Well that's quite odd. One question and a mod will be able to look further into this too. But did your returns exceed your purchases? Because that's all I can think of.

Re: "You've spent [negative dollars]" in rewards overview

Good morning Ladymuskateer,

As I have suggested to other members, please take a moment to read over my prior responses in this thread.  The issue pertaining to how Elite/Elite Plus spending totals are currently being displayed on BestBuy.com has already been reported to our program team who is working to find a fix.  As of now, I have been told the issue is expected to be fixed by the first week of December.  While the balance you currently see is incorrect, the totals displayed on my side of things should be accurate.  The appliances purchased back in April would well exceed the $3,500 needed to requalify for Elite Plus status.  It does not appear that purchase is reflected in the spending total for the 2016 calendar year though because of the multiple exchanges that were processed.  The further we get from the original purchase the more likely problems are top pop-up.

Rather than waiting for the spending bar issue to be fixed, I can help make sure the Elite Plus status tied to the account in-question is extended for another calendar year.  Please have the primary member tied to the account register for the forum and send me a private message with the information listed below and I will see what I can do to help.  To send a private message, you will first want to login to the forum and then click on the blue button found in my signature.  It is intended for a program account to be used by a single member with that member not sharing any aspect of their account with anyone else, so I would need to speak with the primary account holder.

Re: where can i check how much i spend to keep the elite plus

Samuelfai,

Thank you for being a member and wanting to stay at the highest level with our mybestbuy card!  Being an Elite Plus is pretty awesome and the perks for being at that tier are top notch.  I apologize that finding out how much you need to stay in that tier.

Here is the way that i personally check the status of my points and activity from Best Buy.com.  First go to www.bestbuy.com

In the upper right hand corner below the "credit card" option there will be a "sign in" option.

Sign into your account and then from there you will be directed to the Best Buy.com homepage, but now you will see your name below the credit card option (where the sign in used to be located before you signed in)

Click on your name and from there you can look at your "account home" then in the blue task bar that has "account home" on it, move your cursor 2 to the right to "rewards" click this option this and it will pull up a drop down menu.

click on "overview" and from there on the right hand side you will see how much you need to get you to your elite plus membership, and your current point totals.

I hope this helps you out and i wish you the best of luck!

Membership status for next year

A few months ago, when I checked my account, it said that I had achieved Elite+ status for next year, but right now it say I've only spent $583.  I have the Best Buy Visa card, so I know I had spent more than $3500.  Any ideas what is going on?  I tried looking for the dedicated Elite+ number, but I don't have the membership card, don't think I ever got one.  Thanks
