Every time I go to the store I ask if I have points available to use, they always tell me no. Once they looked "deeper" in the system and told me that I had one that just expired. I was at the store last week and was again told that I didn't have any points to redeem.
Today I started looking in my e-mail because there is no way that's the case. I found, in the junk folder, all of my certificates. The last one, $35.00, expired on December 17.
I went to the reward zone site, it redirected me to Bestbuy.com. I attempted to log in, I received an e-mail that I don't have an account. I tried to create an account and was told that there was an error. I looked online and found this forum where it sounds like this happens often.
Can someone help me recover any of my lost points? More importantly, can someone help me to create my account so I can change whatever setting is sending my certificates to my e-mail automatically?

You must not have logged into your My Best Buy program account for quite some time because we retired the MyRewardZone.com and MyBestBuy.com websites a few years ago. You would need a BestBuy.com account that is linked to your program in-order to access any active points or certificates. Our stores are unable to view the details of a member's account and can really only see active certificates, which they can then apply to a purchase if eligible. The store would have had no idea how many points were in your account.
As you may read in other forum threads, a certificate will be automatically issued based on a member's certificate preference. You may want to consider changing your certificate preference to BANK since you have Elite status. That will allow you to build up your points and convert them into new certificates when you need one rather than having them automatically issued. A certificate will generally be valid for a period of 60 days unless noted otherwise and cannot be reissued once having officially expired. I would strongly suggest that you login to your account at least a couple times a month once it has been setup.
