ElitePlus Member - Missing Rewards Certificates

Hello,

 

I made quite a few large purchases, and am still waiting for all the rewards certificates to come through. Can you please review my purchase history and let me know when they will be available?

Not seeing points post for some recent large purchases would be incredibly discouraging, so I'm glad you've reached out to us for more information. 

Please know that points may take 15-20 days to post, so if they're recent, they may simply need more time. Additionally, you should keep in mind that there are some purchases that may not qualify for points, such as when a financing plan is chosen when paying by a My Best Buy credit card, or portions of purchases paid for by gift card or reward certificate. Using the details you shared, I was able to locate your recent purchases. While I see that they haven't posted because it hasn't been 20 days, I also see you paid for these by gift cards. As such, you would unfortunately not earn points for these purchases. I apologize if you were unaware of this and for any disappointment that this news may cause you. If you have any other questions, please let me know!

Hello Tasha,

 

Thank you for replying. Quick point of clarification - the purchases were paid for by CC, not gift cards, and no financing plan was chosen. In any case, I'll wait for the suggested 20 days for these to get sorted out. If by the end of this month, I still do not see the rewards, I'll reach out to you once again.

Hello Arnav - 

My apologies if I misidentified the purchases. Upon a closer look, it appears the purchases I was looking at were the latest in that chain of transactions. Your original purchase was indeed made with a credit card. However, I do see that the points were awarded, and converted to certificates that are available for redemption.

No worries Tasha, TY for reviewing the account history.

 

You're correct - the points awarded were 12,521, which equates to $250, which was converted to certificates available for redemption.

 

However, that's equivalent to 5% of the transaction - when I signed up for the Best Buy CC, based on the guidelines, I should be getting back 10% on my first purchase - why the discrepancy? When would I be receiving the remaining 5%?
