If I purchase a tv for more than $3500 that qualifies for elite plus, do I get the 45 day extended return on this item, even though the policy states: "Your status as a My Best Buy Elite or Elite Plus member will begin 15–20 days after purchase date," ? Or does this policy mean that I was not elite plus before purchase so dont get extended return on it?

Our members with Elite Plus status are eligible for an extended 45 day return/exchange period. As you mentioned, it can generally take up to 20 days after spending $3,500 during a single calendar year for a member's status to be upgraded. You would need to have Elite Plus status at the time of purchase for a purchase to be eligible for the extended period. Basically, the purchase of a TV would still fall within the standard 15 day return/exchange period. Let me know if you have any other program related questions.
