That is a great question! After a conversation with our My Best Buy™ team, it has been determined that an email notification is not immediately sent after a member has requalified for Elite or Elite Plus status. You might receive an email congratulating you on another year of Elite status sometime in March after we finish the process of reverting members that did not requalifying back to core status. I looked over your account using the email address that you registered for the forum and can see that you have requalified for Elite status during the 2016 calendar year. That means your Elite status should be valid until February 2018. Please feel free to send me a private message if you have any other program related questions.
