Hello again davidsz,
The only real way points would "expire" if you currently have Elite or Elite Plus status and are banking points would be to not requalify for Elite or Elite Plus status. For example, let's say you did not requalify for either status during the 2016 calendar year. That means your current status would be downgraded to core in February with any banked points in your account being converted into certificates because you would no longer have the option to BANK points. Unless noted otherwise, a certificate will usually be valid for a period of 60 days. Basically, just make sure you either spend $1,500 or $3,500 each calendar year so you can keep banking points. Please feel free to send me a private message, by clicking on the blue button in my signature, if you have any other program related questions and I will see what I can do to help.
