thoughts about customer service

We had a washing machine wrongly installed in December of 2016, resulting in major water damage in our basement. Best Buy passed us off to one person, then another -- someone came out, took pictures, asked us to get estimates for repair. We did - three of them, all around $3K in repair costs -- but then no one at best buy would do anything from that point. We got passed from one person to the next -- then to an insurer who also did nothing. It is now approaching May and we have gotten nothing done and no satisfaction for the damage. Then I find there is no place I can even send a complaint. No email address -- I call Best Buy and pleasantly ask for such contact info and I am refused. I publish a monthly newsletter and plan to run an article about my experience in that newsletter -- but thought it would be right to take one last shot appealing to the corporate Best Buy office -- but NO -- I am not allowed to do anything but talk talk, talk, talk -- all very pleasant people who do nothing but make promises which are not kept. This experience has been just amazing

I’m so sorry to hear we might have improperly installed your new washing machine, especially if we caused some severe water damage as a result! I can’t imagine that was what you were expecting to have happen when letting us in your home for service. While it can take some time to review an insurance claim, it definitely shouldn’t take four months for us to resolve your case, so I apologize if we’ve been less than helpful when you reached out to us for some updates.
