Very Disappointed with Best Buy - Member ID: {removed per forum guidelines}

To whom it may concern,

 

I'm going to start here with my complaint.  On July 4th we purchased a bundle-deal for our new kitchen remodel an the Appliances Manager Robert at Glendora threw in the delivery and set up in this package deal.  It included a Refrigerator, Oven, Microwave and dishwasher.  A few weeks later we ordered the wine refrigerator.  We instructed Best Buy that it would be a few weeks to finish our kitchen before we do the installation and Robert said that would be okay.  

 

After those few weeks passed, we received an email that our new LG refrigerator was no longer available.  So we contacted the store and they suggested we come in and speak to the Manager.  So we did just that, and there results weren't positive.  Robert told us the LGdid not make the refrigerator that we bought and that we would have to buy something else.  But the something else was more expensive.  We pleaded with him that we coudn't afford anything more expensive.  So we decided it was best to return the refrigerator and go buy it somewhere else.  However, he told us if we did that we would lose our bundle deal for everything else.  So at that point, we were stuck.  We could not return and we were basically FORCED to buy something more expensive.  We had to take a floor model and spend an additional $600.  We feel we are victims of BAIT and SWITCH and we will report this to BBB and any other platforms of complaints.  We have never so taken advantage before as we have here.

 

It doesn't end here.  A few days after this, we received a cal that our entire order would be cancelled if we didn't pick it up.  SO we called and explained that we were waiting for installation and that Best Buys 3rd party installs were suppose to pick up everything for us.  After that we received an email that our Microwave was returned.  At this point we were just completely frustrated with the entire thing. So we called again and they said that was a mistake.  

 

Finally installation set up by ABC installation.  Window for delivery of 5 of the 6 items was 10-1pm.  They arrived at 105pm and only arrived with 4 of the 5 appliances.  They dropped them off and said they needed to go pick up the final item from the store.  The left and arrived 2 hrs later!! Best Buy is 10min from our house.  My husband called them and they said they were on there way back.  After finally returning, they came and explained they had another upset customer that they needed to attend to close by, but they would be back.  They came back hours later and spent the rest of the night until 9pm doing the installation.  

 

This whole process was utterly painfully from start to finish.  We were basically scammed into a bundle deal that we were baited and switched and then stuck not being able to cancel.  I would gladly have given my business to Sears, Lowes, or Howards.  I really hope Best Buy tried to make this right.....

Thanks for taking the time to post this here, and I will do my best to get this resolved for you. I am very sorry that this refrigerator was no longer available, and the only solution presented you was to purchase a more expensive model. I can also honestly apologize for how these installers handled the delivery and install of these appliances.
