Terrible delivery service

Bought a range, washer, and dryer. Scheduled delivery for March 8th between 8am-12pm.

At 12:30 called to check on order, on hold for 25 mins, then thanked me for my patience and asked to place me back on hold. Told her to call me back,

At about 1:15pm received a call from warehouse stating that my delivery would arrive in about an hour.

At about 2pm received a call from driver stating that he would be there in about an hour.

about 3pm received a call from delivery driver that he had encountered flooding on my road, and asked if it was ok to drive though the water (seriously). I advised him not to drive through the water, and gave him very simple directions to go around the flooding ( turn around, make the first left, then the next first left to return to my road)

Waited 20 mins then called him back to check on him, somehow he ended up at the incorrect road, he told me the road I sent him down was closed (there is a closed road, that goes in the opposite direction from my residence.

Anyway the driver states that he is not far from the road that I live on, and that he will be there shortly.

Driver did not show. At 4:30 he will not answer his phone, received an automated call stating that my delivery has been rescheduled for March 9th between 8am-12pm.

I call customer service, and they say I did not receive an automated call, because it would have to be somebody there that put in a request.

Then tells me that the driver tried for a half an hour to drive around the flooding before giving up, and that I can not even reschedule at this time because my order is still technically in transit.

I do not appreciate being lied to by the driver.

This is terrible, and unacceptable service.

I should have read the reviews for delivery before purchasing at best buy as there is nothing good to be said about it.

See what I mean, this has been posted for 24hrs with no reply. 

Just absolutly horrible customer service.

Welcome to the forum. My husband and I were recently expecting a delivery of a product we ordered last week. It's something we have been looking forward to and were really excited to use. I'm pretty sure we would have been extremely disappointed if the driver had not made it to deliver as scheduled, so I can definitely understand your frustration that your appliances were not delivered. Not only did your delivery not happen but you had to waste most of your day trying to get the delivery guy to your home, and I'm very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. 

 

That being said, it sounds like the driver attempted to drive on what could be dangerous roads to deliver your appliances, and all employees are made aware that safety is first for Best Buy, so he might have turned back if the felt it was not safe to drive in a flooded area. According to our records, it looks like you cancelled the order, and I'm very sorry if we have lost your business. I'll make sure to document your feedback for review. I hope you will consider giving us another chance to offer you a much better experience in the near future.

Your driver didnt turn around because he felt it was unsafe, I told him not to drive through the water, he was going to try to drive through it. It is not hard to drive around ilthe flooded road, I gave him very easy directions, and he has GPS. He told me on the phone that he found his way around, and that he would be at my residence shortly, then didnt show up.

And I didnt cancel my order, I canceled the delivery.

I canceled the delivery and picked up myself. I work in disribution, and find it very inefficient that your team would let a delivery driver tirn around when he was within a few miles of my residence. I know they have gps, and could have very easily found his way around the fliod water. Seeing as how this was supposed to be an am delivery and he gave up around 4 pm, I would say he was just eager to be done for the day.

The thing that bothers me the most is, the delivery driver last told me he was almost to my road, and that he would be there shortly. Then was a no show.
I really font appreciate being mislead.
