I have the same situation.

I cannot send more private messages, i sent the generouslly allocated 1 message already.

i cannot believe how long this process has taken..

Greg - Best Buy was able to put me into direct contact with Sedgwick and Sedgwick worked to quickly process the claim.  They were able to take care of all damages.

Yet another issue with Best Buy and Sedgwick and their handling of a claim

 

Hello all,  it has been theraputic to read some of the others problems with how Sedgwick does not handle their claims!

 

So here is my story.

 

I am posting here to try and reach someone at Best Buy who can actually get this resolved.

 

1] I bought a new Samsung refrigrator, they rep promised me it would fit based on the specs I gave her.

2] When delivery occured, they took out my old fridge and put in the new one.

3] I was not there to observe this but once they had done this my wife came and got me and said, hey this new Samsung does not fit at all!!

[why the delivery team went forward when it was obvious it didnt fit is beyond me..]

4] While removing the Samsung they put a 3 foot long gouge into the stone flooring.

The driver came and got me and showed it to me right away and profusely apologized.

He got his manager on the phone and they assued me that they would take care of it and make me whole.

The driver even signed a 'we did it' paper work.

 

This happened back in August of 2016, its been 1.5 years and I am STILL WAITING for anyone to actually do something.

 

Sedgwick only does something when a Best Buy person emails them.  When you call or email, they do NOTHING.

 

Its turned into a battle of whom will pay for the replacement of the stone floor and everyone is playing kick the can.

 

I am the one who has to call all of these various vendors [there are 5!! total] to get my repairs done.  I am the one coordinating it all.

 

I have spent at least 100 hours so far on calls, emails, hold with Best Buy and I still cannot get someone in writing to say they are going to take care of this.

 

I am asking for an admin from this forum to help me.

How long do I need to wait for Sedgwick to process my claim

 

How long do I need to wait?

 

I have been waiting nearly 1.5 years for my claim to be processed.

Most of my emails and phone calls are not replied to.

 

The vendors that were subcontracted too are debating who is going to pay my claim.

 

Another critical problem is the estimate that one of the vendors provided is completely bogus.  They never spoke to a vendor to get a real estimate to repalce the floor!!

 

Can someone escalate this?  Why do i have to spend hundreds of hours on this issue?

How long should I have to wait for the parties to figure out which one is going to pay for the repairs??
