Any movement on this?

 

We just learned that the installers did a faulty job of securing the waterline to the fridge and it's been leaking for 7 weeks rotting our subflooring and now ultimately buckling our newly refinished hardwoods. 

 

Any thoughts on how we should smartly go about this? Looks like I should be begin with Sedgwick, then go to a store manager to get it moved along.

Curious if there's been any resolution here? 

 

We just discovered today that our waterline was improperly installed and has caused leaking for 2 months now, that we didn't know about. Now our kitchen floors are buckled. 

 

What do you suggest we do in regards to Sedgwick and Best Buy?

Welcome to the Best Buy Community forums. I’m sure you must be distraught over your damaged floors, especially considering that they are newly refinished. I'm actually just finishing up redoing my bathroom after some water damage, so I know how much of a pain this kind of thing can be.

 

Your best bet to get this started would be to get in contact with the management at the store where you made the purchase. Many of our services are performed by Best Buy employees, but we do contract with third parties for some work, and if your work was performed by a third party their claims process may not go through Sedgwick. The management at your local store should be able to point you in the right direction on this.

 

You can get in contact with the management by stopping by the local store, if that’s convenient for you. If not, you can head over to our Store Locator page to find your local store’s phone number and an email address to get in touch with them. I'm very sorry that your appliance install went awry, and I'm hopeful that the management at your local store can get you connected with the right people to get this resolved.
