I ageee they don't have any customer service. They conveniently do not schedule car stereo installations until after their return policy expires. Then they drop the bomb on you that the installation will be several hundreds of dollars more than you already paid for. What a bunck of crooks!! I'll never buy anything from them again

Buying a new car stereo should be a fun an exciting time because of all the cool new features that you can add to your vehicle!  I do apologize that the installation parts that are needed to fit your vehicle specifically added up to a higher dollar amount that what you were expecting, but please know that our installation for a standard stereo is only $64.99, and our In-dash DVD player installation is only $99.99.  


The parts are usually the killer depending on the vehicles year, make, and model, but I do want to make sure that you were provided an accurate quote for your vehicle.  If you are willing please provide me with the vehicle year, make, and model, along with any premium sound options such as Infinity, BOSE, JBL, (just to name a few), so that I can make sure you were not overcharged. Ideally when an appointment is scheduled all parts and labor should be paid for to make sure the customer knows up front the out-the-door costs, but more importantly, to make sure they have the parts on hand and ordered if necessary.  


This obviously cannot change the interactions that have already occured, but it is my hopes that you can re-visit the store and speak with a manager or leader in the store to see if there are any further options to return that radio.  Although I cannot promise a different outcome, please know that I am very grateful for all the time that you took to join and write with the community!   Please do not hesitate to let me know if I can be of further assistance to you in the meantime, until a moderator gets a chance to swing by and take a closer look.

Thanks for joining us at the Best Buy Community forums. Unexpected charges on a service are always a disappointment. I apologize if the full cost of the install wasn’t explained to you at the time of your purchase.


As autotech796 noted in his post, different built in audio configurations in a vehicle can affect the price and the parts needed to install additional equipment, and a lot of the time this is the cause of unexpected charges at the time of installation. I’d like to take a look into your purchase to see if I can confirm that everything you were told that you needed was actually required.


Using the information in your post and in your forum registration I wasn’t able to locate your purchase in our systems. If you could please send me a private message, using the link in my signature below with the order number or customer service PIN from the bottom of your purchase receipt, along with the car information autotech796 requested above, and of the additional parts you were told that you needed that you may remember, I’d appreciate it. If you could also confirm the store were the purchase took place, that would be helpful.
