Issuing a complaints to Corporate Best Buy

[ Edited ]

On Saturday Nov 26, I bought my first appliance from Best Buy.  A Brand New Maytag Washer.  I was so excited.  A New company to do business with for all my household needs.  I even got the extended 5 year warranty - what a great deal!  Come Monday morning (today) my initial enthusiasm has turned into great despair.  Best Buy mispresented the delivery date when they gave me Friday 12/2, between 12 & 4.  I only bought the washer as I needed it for Friday 12/2.  Customer service has NO INFORMATION on my delivery date, even though I have an email confirmation from Best Buy confirming the 12/2 delivery date.  Customer Service did state that the washer I ordered is in stock, beg 12/1.  One customer service rep even stated that Best Buy may have mispresented the delivery date i/o to get my business.  I have called the Orange Park Store (where the product was to ship from) and have waited on hold for over 50 mins for someone in delivery to pickup to no avail.  I am going the CANCEL MY ORDER AND NEVER ORDER from Best Buy again.  Elizabeth {removed per forum guidelines} Order #{removed per forum guidelines}

Re: Issuing a complaints to Corporate Best Buy

Hello woodfe,

I am sorry to hear about all the trouble you have had with your recent washer order. I know these kinds of purchases can produce a lot of anxiety. I looked into your order and see that it has been cancelled. If you are seeking any further assistance, please reach out to us and we can see what we can do.

Re: horrible delivery

A customer service rep's 'offer to help' is akin to beautiful tasting frosting on a molding rotten cake.  The molding rotten cake is Best Buy's delivery team.  There is nothing Customer Service can do which will undo the impact of terrible delivery service.  You've lost a customer for life.  I can only hope that Best Buy's CEO, will put more money and training (or whatever it takes) into Best Buy's delivery service, or Best Buy will cease to exist in the long run.  I can only hope that Best Buy's CEO will see a message such as this.  Chances are that no-one higher than a customer service rep OR their immediate supervisor will see this response.  No customer will ever willing put up with terrible service.  We will speak with our wallets and take our business elsewhere.  Thank goodness I learned that Best Buy's delivery service was consistently terrible and was able to cancel my order and the 5 year service contract asap.  That was the only good part of the entire transaction.

Years ago, Best Buy used to be so good to do business with, in every respect.  What the heck happened?  Someone at a very high level needs to see this question  and take immediate action to rectify the situation.  Otherwise, its going to be 'bye, bye Best Buy'.  A Good stock to short, because failing customer service results in a lower stock price.  Maybe then the senior executives will perk up....when their stock options aren't worth anything.

I'm a manager in the lumber business and our company is consistently ranked among the highest in customer service.  We take pride in that recognition.  Maybe one day Best Buy will do the same.

PS The washer I ordered was the first in a long line of Best Buy Products I had to buy.  I am remodeling my home and WOULD HAVE bought the dryer, range, dishwasher, microwave, flat screen TV, Security Cameras, new PC  etc. from Best Buy.  And I would have cover all of them with the extended warranty.  I have also told my six siblings, my five kids and all of our friends and co-workers not to buy from Best Buy due to the problems I encountered .... that's alot of money that Best Buy has forfeited for their shareholders.  Who's ever in charge of Best Buy Customer Service needs to re-examine their business priorities.  Start with Stephen Covey's '7 habits of successful leaders'.  I am cc'ing a copy of this response to Hubert Joly's email.  Maybe, there is a chance he will read it.

Re: Issuing a complaints to Corporate Best Buy

Elizabeth, You made a wise choice. It would take to loong to spell out our horror story here, but we bought 5 items on November 5 2016 totaling $7500 and as of today January 4 2017 we have only received 2 of them. We have called, gone to the store and spoken with manageent on multiple occasions. We get promises of dates, and the issue gets pushed to backorders from the manufacturer (in our case Samsung) but the bottom line is we have made 3 payments on an order that is only 40% filled. My wife is dead set on seeing this through. This apparently is a company culture as we are in Canton GeorgiaI'm of theminset to get a truck and drop the itmes off we did receive in front of the store and cancel the order. Consider yourself lucky you bailed after a week, becasue it wasn't going to get better.

I hope it gets better for you!  I'm completely flabbergasted at the entire experience.

Not once did anyone from Best Buy get even one thing right the entire time and no one from management has ever reached out.  Extreme disappointment

Re: Issuing a complaints to Corporate Best Buy

i've literally never seen anyting like it in my life!!!

and to see the responses on this forum from Best Buy even makes the whole situation worse. For them to say they looked up the orders but they are cancelled is the most ridiculous thing ever!!!!
