Installation Failure -- No communcation

I cancelled a dishwasher/installation from Lowes because Best Buy could do it three days sooner. For more than a week, Best Buy showed delivery and installation by noon today. I received a phone call last night from Best Buy confirming installation by noon today. It is now 230 pm and no dishwasher and no contact from Best Buy. I have made five calls to Best Buy and its sub (and Best Buy MUST BE RESPONSIBLE for its sub) and neither Best Buy nor the sub can even confirm the dishwasher exists. And, the best offer for installation for a dishwasher that might not exist is ANYTIME Saturday...no offer to do it tomorrow or Friday or even to say it will be the morning or the afternoon on Saturday. I kenneled my dog today for the benefit of Best Buy and Best Buy could not even call to say they would be late let alone not even show up...and my order page will not permit to change anything.

 

Resolution before Saturday or the order is canceled and I will go back to Lowes. They were less expensive but not as fast as Best Buy PROMISED but then could not deliver.

It has now been six hours since Best Buy neither deliver, nor installed, nor called to explain why it did not deliver or install my new dishwasher. The CHAT app at least honestly admitted it could not help. The same CHAT app on July 7 promised delivery and installation thru the website purchase. Telephone support is polite but can not even LOCATE my dishwasher. Did Best Buy sell me something that does not exist? Best Buy got my business because it PROMISED it faster that Lowe's. Now Best Buy cannot promise a delivery or installation or even where, or if, the dishwasher I purchased even exists. And, it goes without saying, no one from Best Buy has responded to my previous post.

Someone from the 1-888 number just called. For whatever reason, that person chose not to leave a message and no one at the call center is able to say who called.

 

Is Best Buy now into telephone harrasment for those who post on THEIR  site?

 

All Best Buy had to to is deliver and install the dishwasher I ordered on July 7 during the time and on the day that Best Buy permitted me to choose. This is not brain surgery.

 

If Best Buy really wants a fight, harass me again.

It is now 845 Eastern, or 15 minutes beyond when Yvette's shift ends, which was HER deadline to deliver a full report on Best Buy's failure to install my dishwasher today. Yvette has been unable -- it appears -- to determine from Best Buy's sub -- XPO -- whatever that is -- where my dishwasher is or if my dishwasher even exists or if Best Buy or XPO will ever deliver and install my dishwasher. Clearly, no one from Best Buy monitors these postings since no one from Best Buy has responded for the past 8 hours.

 

I remain unable to schedule a new delivery -- Best Buy has locked out my account -- and neither Best Buy or XPO can confirm a new delivery date or time.

 

Clearly, it is time to elevate to my FAcebook page, since Best Buy prevents people posting on its Facebook.

The customer service representative failed to fulfill her promise to provide an update before she went home -- great service, Best Buy -- I have just received two -- TWO -- emails scheduling my delivery and installation on either Friday afternoon or Saturday morning -- having given Best Buy my Thursday and now they send emails with two -- 
TWO -- different schedules on different days!!!!!!!

 

Is anyone in charge? The IRS is much better than this. I bought this unit. Best Buy has no idea where it is. A customer service representative admitted the web site does not accurately report the inventory at stores or the warehouse -- if the Best Buy system does not report accurate inventory, then EVERY customer must be wary.

 

This is going as wide on the Internet as I can -- Best Buy inventory listings on its website are not accurate!!!!!

I just read thru about 10 0r 12 complaints on this forum -- everyone else should too -- there is a perfect theme to every Best Buy response -- "Oh Gosh! This is awful. We feel so bad. We will tell someone else about our horrible company. Good day and Good luck."

 

I cannot find one post on this stream where Best Buy asserts the problem is solved and the unhappy customer writes back that their problem is solved.

 

Lowe's here I come.

It has now been 24 hours since Best Buy failed to deliver my dishwasher, failed to have it installed and failed to take away my old dishwasher. And, during those 24 hours, Best Buy has yet to explain what has happened and what it intends to do what Best Buy has been paid to do. So, let me make it real simple -- for this supposed "social media" team that somehow wins awards for its speed in reply:

1) Where was my dishwasher at 8 am on Wednesday July 12?

2) Where is my dishwasher at Noon on Thursday July 13?

3) Where will my dishwasher be at 8 am on Friday July 14?

4) Why are there now two different times and two different dates for the delivery and installation of my dishwasher?

5) What does Best Buy intend to do Friday, July 14 between Noon and 4 pm?

6) What does Best Buy intend to do Saturday, July 15 between 8 am and Noon?

 

Those ought to be pretty easy to answer -- if anyone at Best Buy ever looks in these forums. No one has responded in 24 hours -- but then -- Best Buy has yet to respond with any answer to any question I have asked.

Thanks for reaching out to us here on our forum, and I am sorry if our response did not come quick enough for you. I sincerely apologize that the delivery/install of your dishwasher did not happen yesterday, and that we could not get you any answers as to why. To be honest I'm not really sure why this delivery/install did not happen yesterday; my guess would be that XPO (the company we use to install appliances) did not have this scheduled in their systems, while it was scheduled in our systems.

 

The dishwasher you ordered should be in our warehouse in Chicago as that is listed as the delivery location in our systems. It should have been there yesterday, and should remain in this warehouse until the delivery team loads it into their truck to deliver to your home. The reason for the two different appointments is I see we have this dishwasher scheduled to be delivered to you tomorrow Friday 7/14/2017, and I see XPO is scheduled to install the unit on Saturday 7/15/2017.

 

Is there anything specific you need us to get done for you moving forward? I will check on this on Monday 7/17/2017.

When I purchased the dishwasher on July 7, the Best Buy website said the dishwasher would be in your Castleton store in Indianapolis (and not in Chicago) on July 12 or could be in your Brickyard Crossing store in Indianapolis (again not Indianapolis) on July 13. I selected July 12. I did not ask where the dishwasher "should be" but where it is. What I read you committing Best Buy to is that the dishwasher which should already be in Indianapolis will travel from Chicago to Indianapolis tomorrow for delivery by 4 pm?

 

Or, are you guessing again?

 

To use your phrase -- "to be honest" -- I still dont see any honesty from Best Buy. I do not see how you could consider your answer -- full of I don't knows, and guesses, and should haves and should -- "to be honest."

 

I would specifically need answers and not guesses. Your wording. Not mine.

Hey pjtraub221,

 

I am sorry if my wording did not meet your expectations, and hopefully I can be a bit clearer. I used the word should because I do not work in our warehouse in Chicago so there would be no way for me to physically verify it is there. I looked at your order and it clearly show the ship location is our warehouse in Chicago. If the unit was going to be delivered out of one of our stores the ship location on your order should be that store location. At this point the only things I can say is our systems state the delivery location is our Chicago warehouse, you are scheduled to have the dishwasher delivered tomorrow, and you are scheduled to have the dishwasher installed on Saturday 7/15/2017. Once again I will check on this on Monday 7/17/2017.
