Horrible Customer Service

So I ordered a new washer and dryer for 2600 to be installed 7/9..... Washer and dryer come in and best buy sends 2 guys to install them. They get there and first thing the guy says is they will not fit as they have to have 1" between the walls and the washer and dryer. So either best buy has the most incompent people doing these installs or the 2 they sent never finished math class. 

 

SO the washer and dryer are 29"w ea. Its a 62" room. 62-58=4. Thats 1.5" 1.5" and 1". Clearly enough room to even meet there little 1" recomonded spacing. 

 

The worse part about it is I called the store Managment to let them know, besides the ignorant manager I talked to "Chris" who kept smacking his food as I was talking to him, says he will talk to the installers and get back to me. Well long story short you think he got back to me. Apparently losing customers is no big thing to best buy, another one will walk in the door.

I apologize for the delay in my reply as we’ve been working diligently to answer all customers who have contacted us. Thank you for taking the time to reach out on the Best Buy forum to tell us about your recent washer and dryer delivery experience. I can imagine it would be really frustrating to have a delay of delivery and installation that I wasn’t expecting. It just adds to the disappointment if you don’t receive a promised call from a manager. With this in mind, I would be happy to speak to you further regarding this situation.

 

In regards to the size of units and the room in which you wanted to place them, beyond the width of the units, installers would likely also be considering the shape of the room in which they were being placed as well as the angle of getting them into that space. As installers want to protect your appliances and your home from any potential damage, maneuverability is definitely important. At this point, as it has been some time since you originally wrote in, have you been able to speak to someone regarding the size of your washer and dryer and either reselection of smaller units or reschedule if it is determined that the products would indeed fit? Please let me know how I can be of assistance.

The products would fit no problem and no of course no one has reached out. I am just another customer, another 200 will come in the door after me. Its no big deal to them and by reading some reviews I can see it is a common occurunce. Pretty unfortunate.

Good morning, rcripe34,

 

That definately isn't what we want to hear! Is there an error message that comes up when you try to send a private message? What sort of browser are you using to access the forum? Are you using a mobile device? Have you tried another browser or device?
