42-day delayed installation and Oven still not installed

Want to file a complaint about my wall-mounted oven purchase and installation experience.

 

Purchased the unit on May 13th and the unit was first scheduled to be installed on May 16.  But it is still not installed as of now.  Below is the summary for the five (5) scheduled installations attempt:


1. The store representative confirmed there would be 30 min in advance call before the installer comes. However, the installation subcontractor came on May 16 but without the 30 min in advance call and the unit was not installed.  The installer said they don't call in advance. 

 
2. It was rescheduled to the next day and the installer simply did not show up even after several phone call confirmations plus case manager's phone confirmation. I waited the whole afternoon.  And there is not even a word for explanation or apology.


3.A phone call from BestBuy confirmed the installation was rescheduled for June 1 and I went to BestBuy store and confirmed the install date also.  Waited the whole day at home and the case manager called me to inform me that it is actually scheduled to June 5th.  June 1 is an mistake. 


4. On June 5, the installer called in the morning to tell me that the ticket was assigned as a repair. I explained to him this is installation not a repair.  Found out it was assigned to repair by mistake by the case manager instead of installation.  The installer said he only does repair not installation.  So nobody came and there is not a word for explanation from the case manager. 


5. Called and emailed the case manager multiple times.   The case manager did not response at all between June 5 and 6.   Finally got hold of the case manager on June 7 and she then rescheduled the installation to June 28th, which is 20 days from today, 42 days from the purchase day, which is unbelievable. 

 

Before this case,  I generally had great experience with BestBuy.  But this time the experience is very unpleasant and I am very disappointed and upset.   Not sure this is a rare case or it is systematic issue for BestBuy as a company.  

 

Just want to let you all know for improvement.

Best Buy can only hope to improve by listening to the feedback of our clients, and we want to thank you for taking the time to register with the Best Buy forums to bring your installation of your oven to our attention!  I personally would like to apologize for this entire ordeal, but rest easy knowing you’ve reached the Corporate Headquarters!
