International Geek Squad Protection Coverage

 

Below are the details on how to obtain service under a Geek Squad Protection (GSP) plan outside of the United States.

 

To obtain service outside the United States, you should first locate a manufacturer authorized service center, and then drop your defective product off there for service. You will be required to pay the service provider for the repairs, and submit your repair bill for reimbursement. To submit the repair bill for reimbursement, please see options 1 and 2 below.

 

The best way to find a manufacturer authorized service center is to either call the manufacturer, or they often list them somewhere on their website. If you do have trouble locating a manufacturer authorized service center, you can always try reaching out to us (through options one and two below) to see if we are able to locate one for you.

 

International service does not provide for:

 

  • Accidental Damage from Handling coverage - even if normally covered within the U.S.
  • In-home/on-site service
  • Phone/web support
  • Preventative maintenance checks
  • One-time battery replacement coverage
  • One-time accessory replacement coverage
  • No Lemon coverage

 

Canada and Mexico

 

While in Canada/Mexico, you can bring your U.S. purchased products covered under a U.S. GSP to any Best Buy Canada/Mexico location; however, you will be required to pay for the service and submit for reimbursement.

 

To be reimbursed for the service that has been completed and paid for by you, please follow one of these two options:

 

Option 1) Go to www.bbyintl.com:

 

  • Please follow the entry requests – your name, address, original invoice #, original date of purchase, and the information related to the repair you have paid for – and email us at BBYINTLCLAIMS@SNDIRECT.COM (if the request is in a language other than English, please allow additional time to process your request).
  • Once your information has been verified, a check will be sent directly to you for the value of the repair, including any applicable taxes.

Option 2) Call the appropriate phone number below for the country you are calling from:

 

  • Call 1-888-539-6883 for products purchased at a U.S. store while calling from Canada
  • Call 001-800-627-8735 for products purchased at a U.S. store while calling from Mexico

 

All Other Countries

 

For all other countries you must call the international prefix of the country you are calling from, enter the U.S. country code, and dial 800-556-56565. Note: Do not call this number within the U.S. This number is not valid in the U.S. It also does not work for Mexico or Canada.
