xbox holiday bundle

I bought my boys the 250gb xbox holiday bundle for Christmas..It came with Halo download,Fable game and 3month gold live card..Well the console quit working and they have already downloade the Halo game and the gold card and have opened and used the Fable game..My question is can I just bring the console to Best Buy to exchange it for a new one or do I have to bring EVERYTHING back...I am worried because the hard drive has all of our information...

They may not have the holiday bundle in stock so you would need to bring everything back to see what they can do for you. If they have one in stock, most stores are willing ot just swap the unit and not the rest of the stuff but bring it just in case.

Please elaborate on what you mean by "quit working" and if you purchased any extended warrenties.  Addionally keep in mind that if per Best Buy policy they cannot replace the console, you may be able to contact Xbox customer service for assistance.

I just bought it at Christmas so I guess I will have to exchange the whole bundle..I am not dealing with microsoft if I do not have too..I have heard they are a nightmare to deal with from a few people...

The one thing I am wondering that will prbably help is the bundle (where it shows fable, halo and gold card) a sticker that was put on the box or is it physically printed on the box?

The reason I ask is that if it is a stickered version it has te same sku/UPC as the regular non-bundle Xbox. Given this you could suggest that you just keep the bundle items and swap the Xbox if they will allow it.

But again it depends on what is "broke" and how it was broken. If they deemed it was a user caused fault then they may not do anything.

It is something internal ...i,ve spoken to Microsoft and they agree  with the issue and they even suggested I send it in to them but like I said  I know someone who was out theirs for months...

Yeh then check on the box to see if the bundle icon is a sticker or printed. If sticker you can "suggest" you keep the bundle items and exchange the Xbox base out as they will have the same sku/UPC, again only if it is stickered.

No there are no stickers..It is the box that says 250 gb hard drive and a picture of Fable III and Halo reach..

Yeah the picture of fable and halo would be the sticker. It is a very fine/thin sticker but sticker none the less if it is one. And as such you would be able to get a fingernail under it.

Another way would just go to the BBY website and punch in the sku and see if it comes up with the regular Xbox 250GB hard drive or the bundled version (bundled version might not come up as they may have pulled it from the site)
