Re: what?

X-Box Live is for the X-Box and X-Box 360 systems.

Play Station has its own type of internet connection, which it appears is called the playstation network, like you mentioned.

My opinions are mine, and mine alone.

I think you are asking the differences between the two and which is better.

I cannot speak for the PS3 but,

THe XBOX Live System works wonderfully, they recently redid the layout and you now create an avatar (similar to the Nintendo Wii), but beyond that the menu gives you the ability to download games (free and for a cost) try out demos, and if you want you can even stream Netflix movies via Xbox Live. Gameplay on Xbox live will vary, I used it often times for NHL09 and it worked almost flawlessly, however Madden09 (another EA title) seem to have a lot of glitches in it.

I personally like Xbox over PS3 anyday of the week but I cannot say if the PS Network is good or anything like that.

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

Re: what?

Hey asuryan125,

If you’re looking for the major differences between Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network, they’re more or less the same thing from my experience. Both allow you to download games, movies and other extra content for your console, and both have built-in communication tools. If you’re wondering about platform-specific offerings though I’d strongly recommend checking out their official websites for more information:

PlayStation Network

Xbox Live

You should also be able to find out a great deal of information regarding both services by speaking with a media specialist at your local Best Buy® store. Many of our associates are avid gamers and would be glad to fill you in on the latest developments for their favorite console(s).

Hope this helps you out!

Re: what?

The price is worth it though, and the system itself is cheaper as well, so its kinds of a wash in the end.

Re: what?

I agree Gerald. If you watch for online specials you can get a Xbox Live Gold membership for cheap. I got my 13 month gold membership for $24.99 from that buy dot com site.

Re: what?

In my opinion, there is no difference.  It all goes back to which platform you prefer...

Personally, I would rather pay for Xbox live.  WHY?  I beleive more people own an Xbox, therefore more use of the communcation applications and playing with friends online.  Just my 2 cents :smileyhappy:
