switching hard drives?

so im thinking if fixing ps3 and reseling them ...can i turn a 40gb ps3 into a 80gb ps3 jus by changing the hard drive?...and will it fit and can i do this and make in inot a 120gb and so on?

Fantastic question!  No you would not be able to upgrade your PS3 system by doing that.

You can easily replace the hard drives in any of the PS3's. Just keep to the specs. 2.5" SATA drives. 5,400 RPM is what sony ships with it but you can replace it with a 7,200 RPM drive if you wish. The 7,200 RPM drive will add a little bit more heat to the unit but it will give a nice boost in the load times.
